Best location in Bishkek
Very nice hotel, but very expensive. Its location is best in the city. They don't have metal room keys anymore, they are electronic. Internet service is very expensive and no complimentary breakfast. Their security system is top notch, I am highly impressed.
Unique Quality: Cable TV. In the city center. ATM machine. Very clean. Professional and friendly staff.

Beautiful Hotel
The hotel was absolutely beautiful...one of the best I have stayed in. The service is excellent and they offer any amenity you could imagine. The rooms are large and have a great modern design. The hotel is within a secured and fenced area with beautiful grounds.
Unique Quality: Interestingly, this hotel issues actual metal keys as opposed to electronic key cards. Make sure your room is properly locked before leaving.

Luxurious in Comparison
The Hyatt Regency Bishkek is the only five-star hotel in the city and largely lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in the country. Attached to a slightly-suspect casino, the hotel provides all amenities one expects from an international hotel chain - 1) overpriced, but excellent, breakfast, 2) overpriced, but pleasant, bar, 3) overpriced and tacky gift shop, 4) Clean and comfortable rooms, 5) A nice gym, 6) Reliable and fast internet, etc.
Additionally, as the hotel is located in the heart of the downtown district, one can easily walk to many popular Bishkek destinations in a matter of minutes.
I can almost guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Unique Quality: One unique quality of the hotel is that it is heavily gaurded, due to Krygyzstan's frequent mini-revolutions.

Its alright. very nice even by western standards. probably the nicest and cleanest accomodation in the country. within walking distance of the downtown area.
Unique Quality: Bar and Casino and the ground floor. from talking to the door guys, apparently even has prostitutes.

Five, well, four-and-a-half stars in Bishkek
The Hyatt in Bishkek, where I spent one night in October 2006, was a quite comfortable hotel. The staff at reception were particularly pleasant, the restaurant servers were very competent, and although there isn't a heck of a lot to do in or around the hotel, it's comfortable enough. The location is close to the center of town, right next to the opera house, and about two blocks from Bishkek's "shopping mall."
Unique Quality: This hotel was on the expensive side, given the location (prices above those in Almaty).

Nice centrally located hotel
We stayed for the weekend. The hotel is really nice, especially for the area. It's above average even by Western standards.
Unique Quality: There's a casino...right next to the bar.
