The Yak Tours hostel has a number of rooms in a house (though some don't have real walls, just curtains - only used when it's really busy). Some of the rooms are decadent, others a little less so. They also have a yurt out back and you can camp in the yard if you want. The food is excellent - it might cost more than the shashlyk stands in town but it's really good stuff.

We had a lovely stay at the Neofit Dragon Guesthouse. We ate in the stomach of the dragon, and the communal toilets were in the tail of the dragon: someone designed this building with a sense of humour.
Our room slept 3 comfortably, and had an en suite shower/toilet. There are smaller rooms, both en suite and not en suite. The linen was clean.
The food was fantastic! Quite a contrast the Aurora hotel which we had just come from. Internet was slow, but this was also a contrast to Aurora which had no internet. :)
Although we did not use them, the guesthouse provides guide and porter services to many mountains in Kyrgyzstan. While we were there we met climbers who had returned from Khan Tengri.
It was a wonderful place to be: looking at the stars from their courtyard at night listening to the Muslim call to prayer. So lyrical. I loved standing in a central Asian courtyard listening to that fluid voice.
