nice relaxing place

I was very pleased to stay at this hotel. The hotel is located not too far from the Morning Market and the Bus stop...about 15 mins walk. It is a rather small hotel, nicely done up with lots of wood finishes, and has a nice pool and breakfast place. The best bit is they have free internet, and also free shuttle to the main part of the town. They can also pick you up if it is convenient. For USD 100-120 depending on season includes airport shuttle, breakfast and shuttle to town. And most of all the hotel staff, ever so accomodating and friendly.

We love the ice coffee we had there ever so often, and also the light snacks of bbq squid with the delicious sweet sour spicy sauce they said is call jell som. yummmm

Great Boutique Hotel

Not an ideal location, The Green Park Boutique Hotel is situated a mile or so from the city on the edge of some wasteland that appears to be undergoing some form of development. Don’t let that put you off – once you enter this haven of tranquillity, the travails of the outside world (not that Vientiane is anything like a challenging city in that respect) will seem another world away.

Partially minimalist, partially Feng Shui style, the hotel is really a series of individual buildings separated by some very Zen water features, lots of little fountains and water lilies – all in all, a very tranquil and relaxing setting.

The breakfast buffet is not vast but all very tasty and well prepared. Sitting outside, having breakfast in the Vientiane morning was very pleasant.

All rooms have very fast, free wi-fi access.

Unique Quality: The rooms are great – nice and large with big, firm beds, seating area and a balcony looking over either the pool or the water features. The real surprise is the bathroom however – no wall behind your bath, but a huge window looking onto your own private piece of jungle. Don’t worry, the area is shielded by a wooden wall and inaccessible from passers by so your modesty is preserved. At night it is lit up so it is really interesting to use it then.
