Lao Plaza is a modern hotel without soul but nicely situated in center of town.Rooms are classic well furnished but old style
Unique Quality: It has about 140 rooms and prices are good around 90US$ for a room.It is located in the bussiness center of town.You have a swimming pool.Service is good but not quick and sometimes none.

The Lao Plaza Hotel is one of the best in the city,located in the main shopping area and the business and entertainment district. Rooms are influenced by Lao culture, with some oriental décor and modern facilities. The Lao Plaza Hotel has a good range of services and amenities, although nothing very unique or special.At the big outside front-terrace a nice pool and outdoor cafe.Sauna , Health Club and massage are also offered.
The May Yuan is said to be the biggest Chinese restaurant in Vientiane,another 24-hours restaurant offers international and laotian dishes.
Unique Quality: Very centrally located; on the opposite side of the street, around the corner there are several small french restaurants to be recommended!

This is definately the nicest hotel in Laos. We loved it, the pool is gorgeous, the service is impecable, the food great and they make milkshakes. The massages $16US for 2 hours, wow, we used that a few times.
