Unfortunately this GH was full and if the foyer is anything to go by I can understand why. It looked very clean, new and the staff were very helpful.

Luxury for a backpacker!

My travelling partner had developed potentially severe food poisoning (which was most likely due to meat in a sandwich eaten earlier) for a few days, so we were in Vientiane for longer than expected. Rather than stay in a rundown backpacker's guesthouse, we opted to pay $15 for a twin room in the Vayakorn House. The couple of nights we spent there were the most rested of my trip. It was clean, cool, and comfortable.
Unique Quality: It was a very comfortable hotel with lovely wooden floors throughout, air conditioning, quiet, and TV in the room.
Sometimes it's worth treating yourself!
