Macanese Buffett at Holiday inn Macau
by machomikemd about Frascati Cafe
Buffet Specializing in Macanese and Cantonese Dishes!
frascati cafe has built a reputation for serving excellent macanese and cantonese dishes in a buffett fashion and this is well earned as I have seen and eaten their sumptious dishes. Oxtail Ragout was a knockout as ox tails are my favorite! they also have portugese sardines, Bacalhau (salted cod fish), peri peri chicken, african chicken, stewed pork and assorted cantonese goodies such as congee, hargau shrimp dumplings, century eggs and a whole lot more!
opens daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
Luch Buffett starts at 100 MOP and dinner at 150 MOP what else but the knockout portugese oxtail soup! and the stewed pork, what else! the desserts are also good, with mooncakes, pastillerias and off course macanese egg tarts!

HI! KW:
I stayed at the Royal (review of mt VT Macau pages). It's a nice hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent service. It is a little far off the main hotel belt and you'll probably need to walk a little bit (about 20 minutes, depending on how fast you walk) before you hit the main tourist belt. The good thing is, as it is in a quieter part of Macau, you do get a little peace & quiet, not that Macau is any noisy! There are also some eateries and convenient stores around the hotel.
I have never stayed at the Holiday Inn but I do know where it is. It is on the other end from Royal, smacked in between many residential lodgings. PLENTY of eateries, plenty of people (by Macau standard) but it is a little further from the main tourist area. You'll need to catch public buses to get to Senado Square. You could walk but it will take a while.
I have stayed at the Sintra before. Nearer to Senado Square. It was alright. Review again on my VT Macau pages.

Holiday Inn Macau & Bestwestern Sun Sun

Anyone had stayed at these hotels before? Would appreciate your comments and recommendations. We are looking for a decent hotel near city centre for a family holiday and relaxation, any recommendations?

I live in Macau and I would recommend Holiday Inn (if they are your only choices). But Holiday Inn has a casino in it. Not very ideal for family holiday. Maybe you can consider Hotel Royal. Its location is better than Holiday Inn and the price should be around the same as Holiday Inn.
Should you want more info regarding Macau, do contact me.
Cheers!!!!
