Westin Resort Macau

Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? The rate seems very reasonable for a 5 star hotel(as compared to the Mandarin Oriental, which costs about 5 times more), is it very far from the city centre? Is there any hotel shuttle or public transport to the city from the hotel?

The Westin is considered one of the best hotels in Macau. It is quiet and has a nice golf course. It's placed in the Coloane Island, which means around 20 minutes by bus or taxi to Macau city center. It is usually a very good choice for quiet holidays but definitely not for someone who's going to Macau for the first time as it's completely away from the city excitement.
I hope you find my message useful in some way.

DrPoi

LORD STOW BAKERY

Can someone advise me on how I can get to Lord Stow Bakery by bus. I will be staying at Casa Real which is nearby to New Yaohoan or the ferry terminal. I will be there on Jun 10.

Is Hac Sa beach worth a visit.

Thanks

Sandy

Basically, you take any bus that heads out to Coloane or Hac Sa. Hac Sa is not really worth the visit unless you're heading out to Westin Macau.

Your best bet is to reach Hotel Lisboa first, then take the bus (21A or 25) from there. The bus stop is located in front of the construction site of the New "Grand Lisboa". There are no direct bus routes from your hotel all the way to Coloane. If you purchase a Macau Pass, then you get a free transfer if you take any of the Transmac buses.

Thanks Vincent for the info.

Can you please tell me where I can buy the Transmec pass and how much it cost.

Thanks

Sandy

You can buy the Macau Pass at the ferry terminal. The little booth is right at the taxi stands of the Macau Ferry Terminal. I do not know what time it opens. I know it closes at 7pm. But remember this pass is only used on Transmac buses and not for TCM buses.
