We stayed in numerous places...
We stayed in numerous places beginning with the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza Hotel, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Our first few days were spent touring Singapore until Bob and Bonnie returned to San Diego, they live in Vista, a nearby town.
Once Ann and I were back to the 'just two of us ' stage, we made arrangements to ship our luggage to the Holiday Inn located in Bangkok and ventured off to many different locations, these will have to be listed as part of travelogues, VT does not provide separate locations.
I will, as time permits, come back to this location and fill in more information about the several places that we went to, for now, it is just too tedious. But a picture of the garden area of one of them is shown.
You name it, they got it. Top to bottom.

Hostels are cheap in Malaysia...
Hostels are cheap in Malaysia although not the best! I didnt pay more than 9Ringit for a dorm(us$2.50).On Perhentian Kecil, accomodation prices have gone up.I stayed in the cheapest hut on the island on Long beach, 'Rock Garden' huts....very rough scummy huts at 20R. Mozzys were abundant in the hut as were squirrels!,but they had a great view ! 'Beware of the toilets there though, they are of the 'squat' type and it looks like everyones missed the hole!...smells like it too!

Tanjung-ru in Langkawi. ...
Tanjung-ru in Langkawi. Idyllic. I think it was the best place I've ever stayed. Every little detail has been captured. Pool was magnificient and there is a private beach. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
