Oriental Crystal Hotel: Cockroaches are everywhere!
I attended a 2-day course at Oriental Crystal Hotel, Kajang 25th and 26th July 2011. I stayed there in Deluxe room for 3 days. Well this is embarrassing for Oriental Crystal Hotel, but I have to reveal the truth I have experienced there.
First of all, Oriental Crystal Hotel is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Oriental Crystal Hotel is a 4-star hotel (according to one of their executives) but this hotel operates like a 1- or 2-star, or even no-star hotel. Let me list down everything:
1. Cockroaches were everywhere. I found some in Jade room, one of the seminar rooms on the 3rd floor, some in cafe on the ground floor, the place you eat, and MOSTLY in the room I stayed. At least 5 cockroaches I found creeping on the floor, at the wall as well as in bed! Sleeping with cockroaches, really disgusting!
2. You can almost clearly hear what people next door talking. Plywood wall or what?
3. Toilets, especially on 3rd floor are just like 90s primary school toilets, see these images, hotel standard? I don’t think so.
4. In 2 days, I was unable to access my room using the access key card given 2 TIMES. I had to go downstairs to see receptionist to change/reset the card. That wasted my time.
5. Basement parking is dark, scary, dirty and smelly. I could clearly hear water leaking as well.
6. There is no balcony and NO WINDOWS in room, only glass wall, there is no access to natural air flow!
7. The security box provided is not working.
8. The food was bad, meehoon especially.
9. Most housekeeping staffs are non-Malaysians. What would tourists say about this?

YL Hotel: YL Hotel in Kajang
This is the standard budget hotel n comprising of 60 rooms.
Although there not located in kajang town but just 4-5km from kajang town.
I prefer to stay YL Hotel because the room is clean, price reasonable n provide a cosy ambience.
Near highway to kl n no need trafic jam in town also.
Unique Quality: Ample parking lots n security guard. (this is more important)
Because last time i rent kajang town hotel n my lorry battery get stolen. sigh ..
Other facilities include hot & cold water dispenser, room service, free parking, 24hrs reception service, astro, free wifi n cctv securuty system.
And panasonic air-cond !! cold ~~

Y L Hotel: YL Hotel
This new 48-rooms hotel (just opened on 20.10.2007) ia part of the Yik Loong Group of companies... Situated just outside Kajang town on the road to Semenyih, the hotel provides basic guest amenities for a comfortable stay... These includes air-conditioning, attached bathroom with hot and cold shower, color TV and telephone... There is also ample free parking area...

Oriental Crystal Hotel: Oriental Crystal Hotel
The Oriental Crystal Hotel opened in September 2007 after a long delay... It is currently the best and the only 4* hotel in the town... The hotel also caters for groups, seminars and conferences... where it has a Grand Crystal Ballroom and 10 meeting rooms, as well as a Business Centre for business travellers... All rooms are equipped with in-room safe, CTV with Astro channels...
Unique Quality: For F&B, there are the Oriental Imperial Chinese Restaurant, Subarashi Japanese Restaurant and the Citarasa Restaurant coffee house... To relax after a day's work, there are the Solitaire Pub, Lobby Lounge and the Blue Diamond Club...

Prescott Metro Inn - Kajang: Stay at an EXCLUSIVE 3-star hotel! :)
According to the website, this hotel is Kajang's most exclusive 3-star hotel. What they don't mention is that they are probably the ONLY 3-star hotel in Kajang, and that any other hotels in Kajang are probably 1-star!
Seriously, though, Metro Inn is a decent hotel. The rooms are clean, the service is good, and the restaurant is decent.
Unique Quality: For what it's worth, it is located within convenient walking distance to the main part of Kajang town. So if you don't want to eat in their restaurant, you can walk to McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut or Shakey's.
