Colmar Tropicale: Colmar Tropicale

Berjaya Hills is a hill resort comprising the French-themed resort in Colmar Square, a Japanese village, a golf resort, horse riding trails and a spa resort amongst others...

Berjaya Hills is about 38km from the Gombak Toll Plaza by way of the Karak Highway... Driving time from KLumpue is about 45mins... There are daily shuttles from Berjaya Times Square in KLumpur to Colmar Tropicale at 9.30am and 2.30pm whith return trips at 12.30pm and 4.30pm... Shuttle rate is RM25 per pax or RM40 return per pax...

The main attraction in Colmar Square is of course Colmar Tropicale, the castle-like resort set in the fairytale environment of a French village and is an enchanting and refreshing haven for a quick getaway... Located around the square are the various restaurants and F&B outlets including La Orient serving Indo-Chinese and French cuisine... Then there is the coffee house setting of Le Blason for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style... Le Vin Wine & Cigar Bar is just across from La Orient...

Hotel room

We got a 2 bedroom suite. Not bad eh?

It comes with 2 toilets, one with a bathtub, the other with shower.

Le Chavelier: What does that mean?

Anybody know the meaning of Le Chavelier? Well, that's the name for the new Colmar Tropicale's latest wing. As of April 2007, its rooms were not ready yet, but the conference rooms were operational. Rated to be a 5 star hotel, it is just next to the Colmar Tropicale.

Castle look-a-like. I wonder if there are hotel rooms with a dungeon like theme?

Colmar Tropicale: A French-themed Resort

2,600 feet above sea level on 80 acres of natural forestland lies the Colmare Tropicale, is modelled after the 16th Century Colmar Village in Alsace, France.

We stayed at the suite. It was very pleasing.

Bukkit Tingi Golf Resort: Bukkit Tingi Golf Resort

Bukit Tinggi Golf Resort looked from the web to be one of the nicer spots to spend a weekend away, so a few of my co-workers and I decided to make the trek up here.

If you are reading this and contemplating the same fate... save yourself some time!

This place was not a holiday resort town like the website shows! The rooms were run down, the pool had not been cleaned, the pro shop *which we did call ahead of time to ask... did not have left handed clubs!

Although I did not get to play a round, the other guys who were able to rent clubs did have a little better time than I did.

In my opinion, take your money elsewhere in Malaysia!

Meranti Park Suites: Meranti Park Suites

I like this because there is a kitchen in every suite. There are not much food to choose here, so kitchen is indeed an advantage.
