Money in JB
Malaysian money is called the Ringgit. It is valued at about 2.22 Ringgit to the Singapore Dollar. After exiting customs, and walking through the pedestrian underpass towards central JB, you will find a well-marked money exchange in a small shop on the main road. As you might expect, it is surrounded by taxis and cons, like sharks circling an injured swimmer...
This is one of the only money exchanges I saw, but there were a few ATMs in the waterfront area and the central market area.
JB is famous in S'pore as being very inexpensive, so it's a popular destination for a day-trip for shopping.
