WORST HOTEL STAY AWAY
I was there on a one night stay on 4/2/12. Stayed in the Club room corner. As a excess card member, there are no special previlages given. Everytime we call and make reservations and it turns up to be a screw up. The rooms are big but very poorly mentatined. The room which was given to me was on the top floor and corner unit. The setting is nice but...once u on the aircon there is *** smell and it is terrible. The carpet is not cleaned, the housekeeping is very bad. The sheets are not clean stain marks everywhere. This hotel i sbecoming from bad to worst. In the restaurant Salt & Pepper the buffet is terrible to worst. The cutleries are very dirty and the the food taste is horrible. Their breakfast is also becoming worst.
As i have stayed here before the rating was better and now it is worst. The customer service at the front desk not very helpful. They are always out of rooms. And now the hotel is classified as no star. Pls do avoid this hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is that there are many eateries around the building and also one or two inside. pl avoid.

Is this 3 star hotel for locals? Internationally this is a 1 star hotel- very aged. All good review were only from Malaysians. Rooms are noisy. Constant loud music from the open dining room which echo through the open atrium which all the rooms surround until 1:30 am many calls to management. Can see the light through bottom of the doors. All the rooms reek of musty mold, Ceilings have black mold. Changed 4 rooms still musty. Requested nonsmoking was informed there was none. Housekeeping was terrible. Rooms were not vacuumed properly- pistachio shells in 1 room, garbage from previous person still not cleaned, carpets were filthy. Blanket inside thin duvet cover were all frayed & well worn, towels had a musty smell. Bathroom sinks & bathtubs were rusted, dented and peeling from a second coat of regular paint that was painted to cover the age. The 1st bathroom was never cleaned and the label from previous person was still stuck to the side of the inside of the sink, toilet dirty, hall & bath floors were sticky. Air conditioner filter never been cleaned in years- moldy & smelly, black around the intake & out grills. 20" CRT TV was defective. Remote was chained & does not work very well. SMALL Safes did not stay locked in 2 rooms & maintenance could not fix them. Fridge was not cold. Room key reader needs to be tried several times before it works. We were part of a tour group with 10 families from USA, Canada, Japan & Hong Kong. All experienced the nightmare from hell. Also broke in hives from sitting on their linen. Stayed at 14 hotels during this trip including Marco Polo, Novotel, Hilton and other Regency hotels.

This was formerly known as Eden Garden Hotel. For some reason unknown to me, they have changed the name to something less fanciful. The hotel rooms are comfortable and nice. But all hotels rooms face the lounge which can be quite noisy at nights. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best place to stay.
Cheap food is plentiful, just walk out of the hotel and there are plenty of local restaurants and hawker food nearby with a beautiful background of the Straits of Johor.
Unique Quality: This hotel is located within a duty free zone. Attached to it is a shopping mall with a departmental store and supermarket. You can also get duty-free liquor, chocs and cigarettes here. It is all duty free if consumed within the complex.
Eden Garden is well known for serving the cheapest drinks in town and as a consequence attracts customers that are at odds with the image they attempt to portray. Wading through pools of vomit when using the hotel toilet is an unpleasant experience and affects female toilets also.
The central lobby extends through the height of the building and with every room facing toward every guest is disturbed to some extent by the noise generated by the guest bands that perform at its centre.
The attached shopping centre is typical for Malaysia - full of fake goods.
Unique Quality: Check out the car park, somehow it ended up offset to the remainder of the complex by half a floor requiring shoppers negotiate their pushcart down steps or ramps pitched at a suicidal angle. The structure also has some issues.

located at Straits of Tebrau ,This business Hotel is integrated duty free zone,you can buy liquor and cigarattes cheap here.The zon also 'port"for malaysian to go to batam and Bintan island as Zon ferry Terminal provides ferry services to the destination as mentioned.
Unique Quality: At least 4 nightclub and i big karaoke club located here.not advice for family holiday as you can hear the music until 1am inside your room

Hotel overlooking Singapore
I had a nice room there with a great view of the Strait of Singapore. The facilities were very nice and ultra modern (by my standards). Nice room with pretty much all I can ask for. Then again, I'm pretty easy going so take that for what it's worth.
The room was about $45 USD. An exceptional price for a nice clean room with a nice view. Check it out, you won't regret it.
Unique Quality: Pretty much of what I expected from a 5 star hotel only with a great price.

I had read the bad reviews but that did not discourage me from wanting to stay here. i had made a reservation through a singapore agency but the hotel had not received any information but they honoured the price, about 20 myr lower than the walk in special rate of 188 myr. mr shahid and mr romesh both at the reception couldnt be friendly enough. i was checked in, credit card impression taken and given a nice room facing the straits. i am very pleased wth my room and the service.
Please dont forget that you are gettng a very good hotel for what is an economical price. i could see that they are eager to please and may seem a little clumsy doing it.
the breakfast is included in this price. in fact the night before leaving Malaysia I plan to return here to stay another night and mr shahid has already guaranteed me the same rate.

attached to the duty free zone and there are bargains to be had. i had come with no extra clothings and i could easily buy shirts and pants that fitted me. also a very nice carrying case for my computer.

Disgraceful Customer Service
Tip: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
With 2 friends from Greece and UK, we booked 2 rooms on the phone.We were told the rate was RM188NETT/room/night. A few days later, we called to confirm that it was indeed NETT and not ++ rates that were quoted,and were again assured it was indeed RM188 NETT.
At the counter,after driving 6hrs from KL and paying RM6 for parking (which was meant to be refunded after our stay),we were told to wait ONE AND A HALF HOURS as our connecting rooms were not ready.Not wanting to waste so much time, we said we would settle for non-connecting rooms. A 20min wait ensued while the receptionist fiddled about, after which we were told that each room WAS IN FACT,surprise surprise,188++ (RM238)!
Tired and annoyed, we explained that we had double-checked the price on the phone and had quoted RM188NETT TWICE . After all, Eden Garden is in a DUTY FREE ZONE so having 2 extra taxes makes absolutely no sense! After some debate with the receptionist,we demanded to see the manager.
The manager, as it turns out, was even worse.She impatiently repeated "No, our prices are all ++".Again, we explained that this was not what we were quoted; evidently there had been some miscommunication and a mistake had been made .Her response? "No,it's all ++. Our prices are all ++". We were then told "our booking staff are very senior, they won't make mistake like that"!
She then proceeded to repeat "no,it's ++" as a response to anything we tried to say.
What were they trying to imply?That we had driven 6 hours across Malaysia with 2 foreign tourists to lie to them and try haggling for a cheap deal at the counter?Would it have been so hard to at least be courteous, admit the mistake and offer to accomodate us, or perhaps help find us someplace else?
We decided to leave,angry and frustrated. Believe it or not, to cap the whole terrible experience off we were told that "parking is refunded only for guests!" Rude, pompous, poorly trained... I could think of a hundred other words to describe the disgraceful staff we encountered.
Unique Quality: An unbelievably incompetent manager, zero hospitality. Terrible.
