Lanting Beach Resort: Worst island holiday ever

This was a nigthmare holiday for us. Everything that was promised to us were all lies. We were promised a one and a half hour catamaran ride to the island. Instead we rode in a slow boat that took 4 hours to reach the island. We were all tricked into believing that we could go scuba diving, jungle treking and do all other water-based activities. All lies! The dive centre was closed and had been closed for a long time. The jet skis and canoes were not in working condition. The beach was nonexistent. The service was lousy. There were only the 16 of us guests in the resort. We hardly saw anybody else. We were left to our own devices. We had to make our own arrangements with the boatman as to where we could go and when we could go (snorkelling and round the island trip). We also had to search for the snorkels and masks and life vests ourselves in the resort before going snorkeling. Our first day was wasted because there was no one to let us know the itinerary or the programme. All the guests were upset. The second day, we crammed all the activities in one day- round-island trip (which should have been done on the first day), snorkelling trip and island hopping trip just to make the best out of the lousy time we were having there. There were no telematches or jungle trekking as written in some of the guests' booking sheet. We were cheated of our money. The only saving grace about this resort is the good food provided. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Do not believe whatever it says in the website or the pictures shown.

Unique Quality: Great view because it sits high on the rocks.
