golden lae hotel, villa hotel, sri pelangi hotel: Review for 3 hotels in Segamat
Unique Quality: I had the chance to stay at 3 Segamat hotels namely sri pelangi, villa and golden lake. Generally, they were nothing to shout about but you can't expect 5 star services from such a small town like Segamat.
Having said that, these hotels are the "big" hotels in Segamat and fall under mid range categories.I stayed at all 3 hotels in the "suite" room.
First, Seri Pelangi hotel. Room rate were 180. Its located quite far from the town, approximately 5km from Segamat town. The good thing about this hotel is it has a swimming pool (in fact the only hotel in this town with this facility). Room was terrible. I didn't expect much, but the furniture were all very old and bed was so uncomfortable. U can't even sit at the sofa as it is really hard. Room was quite spacious but condition in the room was terrible.
Second, Villa hotel. The plus point for this hotel is its location. You would like this hotel because its located next to McDonald. So if your tummy needs something in the middle of the nite, just go down and your bud will be satisfied. Lol.In the room, suite is also spacious. 1 queen bed and sofa.Overall I quite like this hotel.I would recomennd it to anyone out there.
Third is the Golden Lake hotel. I first thiught that this hotel must be facing a lake hence the name. But I was wrong as this hotel is also located in the city centre of Segamat. The suite room (rm164) was very spacious. It has 2 queen beds, 2 extra chairs and coffee table, equipped with TV with ESPN, Star Movies, etc. What amazed me is the cleanliness of this hotel. Perhaps because it is relatively new. Lighting was brilliant, toilet has bath tub, and air conditioning did an excellent job. All in all, this is definitely my personal preferred hotel in Segamat. I would highly recommend it. It is new, and very clean.
I stayed at all 3 hotels in 2009 and 2010.
Hope the above review helps you out there. Cheers.

Hotel: Hotel
Just in case you worry Segamat has no hotels, this tip is a proof for you to make sure you don't visit Segamat by sleeping on the street at night. I saw at least 3 big hotels, more than just this one in photo, so just don't worry.
