Indian Food on Langkawi Islands
by bkarjee about The New Bird’s Cage restaurant
We had our dinner at New Bird’s Cage restaurant which is located on the Pantai Cenang Beach and serves Indian food with some Malay Influence. One of the owner- Mr. Hassan (Handphone no. 012-9343898) is an experienced chef from a 5-star hotel in Kualalumpur and specializes in Indian food. He opened this restaurant some 7 months back and is a total hit among tourists. The food is very good and is quite reasonable too. Some of the other restaurants that serve Indian food in Langkawi are
1. Pappadum near Underwater world at Pantai Cenang beach
2. ‘Oasis on the beach’ at Pantai Tenegah Beach Lot 838, Tanjung Mali, Jalan Pantai Tengah, Mukim Kedawang Phone 04 955 8236
3. Little India at Pantai Tenegah Beach (very close to Oasis)
4. Nila Island Restaurant (behind KFC, Kuah City, Phone 04 9671443)
All these restaurants are run by Malaysians of Indian origin and serve seafood as well. Little India restaurant also serves North Indian food as well as vegetarian food. My hot favourite in this restaurant was Masala Prawns

3 full days maybe...
day1 explore the main island attractions
day2 island hopping (the surrounding islands r nice)
day3 relax n enjoy sun, sea, n each other.
the 3day/2night packages r NOT worth it coz u only have 1 full day there.

I agree with Ronnie but would make it an extra day or two seeing its your honeymoon. Apart from the Island Hopping speedboat tours you have the cable car, Kuah Town for shopping, strolling the cafes at Pantai Cenang, seeing some of the other resorts and beaches, and generally laying back around the pool and beach!

You'll need as least 4 days and 3 nights but it's your honeymoon. Should be a relaxing stress free time.
I would suggest a week would be nice. Lots to see and do there.

Recently i was in Lankawi with a group of my friends for 2 full days n felt it as very less. Hence, i feel atleats 4 full days in Lankawi is required to do full justice to the place.
It is an amazing island,u cna do lots of things dere like island hopping, mangrove tour, cable car, underwater world, visit to kuah n other beaches.
Hire a car as it is very easy to move around the place with a map n traffic is hardly dere.
