We stayed here at the most crowded time, Xmas and New year 2007/8. The rooms were excellent, clean, spacious, with aircon and BBC World News! The resort prides itself on being an eco-resort, and all the rooms have solar panels for electricity, recycled rainwater for flushing the toilet, and all the waste food from the restaurant is composted, etc. All around the resort are Frangipani trees, exotic plants & bushes, and there's a bird watching sanctuary on the premises too! The resort has its own beach front, with white, talcum powder sand. The sea is clean, and there are watersport activities available at the resort, such as jetskis, parasailing, etc. There are two nice swimming pools, and 2 luxurious open air hot water jacuzzis, as well as a beachfront bar and restaurant. The restaurant was a bit pricy compared to those in Pentai Cenang, but excellent quality. The staff are very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make the stay as nice as possible. The rooms are set back from the beach/pool/bar area, so there's no problem with noise keeping you awake, or waking you up early. Its location is superb - only 15 mins walk from the centre of Pentai Cenang (Underwater World), with many restaurants/bars to choose from. The only 3 nightlife spots in Langkawi (Sunba, Reggae Bar and the disco in the basement of Asiania Hotel) are only a few mins walk away. This was a wonderful place to stay, with the opportunities to take it easy, relax, and have some nightlife, all at a very reasonable cost.
Excellent location, near bars, restaurants & nightclubs.
