Ayer Keroh - MITC Hotel
The hotel is managed by the Ancasa Group of Hotels... The rooms are rather basic (at least the Standard Room that we stayed) with color TV, tea/coffee making facilities, IDD telephone and individaully controlled air-conditioning... Buffet breakfast is also included in the rather affordable room rate...
Unique Quality: The hotel caters mainly for conferences attendees at the nearby Melaka International Trade Centre as well as group tours to Melaka... There is a large car park which is really empty unless when there is a conference (I guess)... All in all, the hotel is a welcome break after the hectic touristic sight seeing in Melaka, being close to the tourist sites along Ayer Keroh...
Must See? Not sure, as I didn't actually see it - but not through lack of trying. It is located on the Ayer Keroh Road, almost opposite the zoo. According to the sign outside it should have been open when I was there but it wasn't and unfortunately I didn't have time to go back.
Melaka Zoo ( ayer keroh )
by cs_zee
The Malacca Zoo first opened its doors to the public many years ago – in 1963. Thirteen years later, in 1976, the facilities at the zoo were substantially upgraded for the convenience of the public.
AyerKeroh Golf-1 of the oldest golfcourse in M'sia
by kenari
The original course consisted of two nines referred to as Tunku and Ghaffar's Nine. A third nine (Governor's Nine) was added in the mid-nineties. The three nines hug a lake known as the Ayer Keroh Lake which comes into play at quite a few of the holes. Ayer Keroh has its fair share of bunkers and other obstacles at strategic places, but the course is notorious for the jungle that lines both sides of almost every fairway and unmercifully punishes each and every wayward shot. In AKCC - " A ball lost IS indeed a ball lost".
Biking or Driving to Melaka from Singapore
by bpacker
It's a breeze riding or driving from Singapore to Melaka these days, thanks to the excellent North South Expressway(NSE). Many of us choose to use the Tuas checkpoint since there is less traffic there. Just drive along the NSE and exit at the Ayer Keroh exit at Melaka.
Causeway Toll Booth ( Singapore) You pay $2.50 SGD at Tuas checkpoint if you own a car and $1.50 if you own a bike
Causeway Toll Booth (M'sia) It cost about RM1.50 for bikes and RM2-3 for cars.
Toll Booths The NSE is dotted with godonlyknowshowmany toll booths and you'll be charged approx 70 cents a km. So from the Causeway to Melaka ( Ayer Keroh), it's approx RM 27.40 for 182.5 km if you drive a car. It's however FREE for bikes.
Other annoyances The speed limit on the North-South Expressway is officially 110kmh. Unoffocially speaking, not many observe this rule.

Need advice.. going on a budget day-trip to Malacca
by psychiy
Hi! I'm going on a day trip to Malacca on nov 3. I'm only commuting since I'm a foreigner on budget. What is the cheapest mode of transportation from KL to Malacca? Which bus/LRT should I take to get there? Is one day enough to tour around the historical places and ayer keroh? What are the must-sees in ayer keroh? Until what time is the bus/LRT from Malacca to KL?
please mail me. thanks!:)

Q:Driver cost "Wold anyone have a rough idea in Australian dollars , how much it would cost to hire a taxi/ driver to take us from Malaka central..."
A: "We used a taxi to KL central a few years ago- it cost us about A$90 if my memory serves me correct.
To KLIA it could be a bit more.
I would also recommend that you..."
