Best budget hotel in Melacca Town
My husband and I really enjoy our stay in Fenixx Inn. All the basic facilities are provided. The room and bathroom is really clean and modern with LCD TV. Check inn was really fast. Apart from being a budget hotel, they have a vallet parking and their parking area is really safe. plus it is free. Even though this hotel did not provide breakfast, no worries because theres allot of eateries nearby. one 24x7 convinient shop also located just accross the road of this hotel. You can walk to all the attraction place because it is really near. i would recommend hotel to locals or tourist who like to spend a night at melacca.
Unique Quality: i really love the parking facilities because i dont have to worry about my car. we just park there and walk to the tourist attraction.

Ok place
The Fenix Inn is located close to the big shopping malls. The modern rooms all come with aircon, tv, kettle and attached bathrooms.
The staff was a bit indifferent, but it's still good value for money.
Unique Quality: Lots of computers in the business center.

affordable and clean
my partner booked the hotel. i was a bit worried, but when i arrived there, i love it!
it's not old, clean, and the receptionist was helpful.
the room has its own bathroom and we got towel. too bad they don't serve breakfast.
Unique Quality: it's close to the old city. it's walking distance

a new place to stay
I stayed here last week on sunday 22th of aug 2006, it's quite comfortable to stay, near to walk around formosa area. This inn are clean and good environment.
Unique Quality: no pool but if u can get room facing to the street u will get great views.

Hotel Close to Mahkota Medical Center MMC
Hi all
My dad flies to Melaka for curing his eye this Monday. I am looking for hotel close to MMC. The nearest is Mahkota Hotel. Do you have any commment? Having good recommendation of Hotel Puri, how far is it from MMC? How to reach MMC from Hotel Puri? Thanks a lot

Hi!
Apart frm Mahkota Hotel, other hotels close to MMC are Equatorial Hotel, Holiday Inn and Seri Costa - all these are in Mahkota Melaka area abt 5-10mins walk from MMC. Hotel Puri is further a bit at Jonker Walk area, abt 20-30mins walk frm MMC. You can also hire a cab or trishaw/beca to go to Hotel Puri frm MMC.

I recommend Hotel Equatorial highly. you can see Mahkota Medical Centre from the hotel and you can walk there in minutes. It also has the best Nyonya restaurant, wtih Chef Bong at the helm. The hotel staff are very friendly including the concierge, Amin.
My favourite hotel is of course Hotel Puri. it is a very long walk from there to MMC but a good trikshaw ride. If the person is infirm in any way, I recommend Hotel Equatorial. Both Equatorial and Mahkota ( i have stayed there once, very oriented towards local tourism )are very close.

mahkota hotel is more of a serviced-apartment rather than a hotel room...
they have 2 or 3 room-apartments.

It really depend on your budget.EQ,Holiday Inn and Century Mahkota are abit on the higher side.Seri Coaster is cheaper,a very comfortable and clean 3star hotel.Forget about Puri as it is way out for you
