Malacca Straits Hotel
The hotel can be considered a boutique hotel with normal and suite rooms... It has all the normal amendities expected of a hotel... These include air-conditioning, CTV with Astro, IDD telephone, mini bar as well as tea and coffee making facilities... Wifi brandband is available in all rooms...
The hotel has a small swimming pool... For F&B, there is the Selat Restaurant... The Straits Bar and Garden Terrace are for drinks and simple food...
Rooms rates are different for weekday, weekend and peak season stays... Rates ranges from RM138.00++ to RM328.00++... All room rates are iclusive of breakfast for two...
Unique Quality: The suite rooms are with 4-postal beds... jacuzzi rubs are in all suite rooms with double jacuzzi in Executive Deluxe rooms...

We got to this hotel by chance after deciding not to pay a higher price for Equatorial hotel. This is a relatively new hotel so the amenities and cleanliness are of a high satisfactory level. It is said to be Malaysia's first Batik Boutique Hotel. It is a cozy 45-room boutique style hotel and is located in the heart of Melaka Town, next to Equatorial Hotel. The staffs are also very polite and services are good. Cost only RM 155 per night and I think it is really value for money.
