Palace Hotel

Its a pleasant stay even though the hotel just provide basic facilities.

Unique Quality: Palace Hotel is quite a simple hotel that provides basic facilities for its guests such as air conditioning, colour TV, refrigerator, telephone and hot and cold shower.

Location wise, it is located in the quite place of the historical city but still accesible by public transports. However, the city's main attractions are within walking distance from the hotel.

Directions: Close to Bukit Cina/Sam Poh Tong Temple

I was going to be quite harsh about this place but that was before my KL experience and compared to the flea pit in KL, this hotel seemed pretty good.
The staff are friendly and it is cheap. The rooms aren't a bad size, all have twin single beds. The bathroom is what you'd expect for somewhere that costs 10 quid a night.

Unique Quality: Lacking in facilities. There is a coffee shop where breakfast is served (included in the price). That's about it. The A/C is centrally located so there is no individual unit in the room and it is very quiet. (I just hope I don't get Legionnaires disease later).

Directions: 10-15 minutes walk from Chinatown. It's not the best area but not that far from the centre of town.
