The hotel caters mainly for families and there are separate hotel and apartment blocks...
Tips Once Entering Melaka via Ayer Keroh
by Azri_Azmi
If you are happen to visit Melaka by entering the Plus Ayer Keroh exit, you can have a visit to the Ayer Keroh Rest Area (not the Ayer Keroh PLUS R&R before exiting to Melaka/Ayer Keroh). After the toll booth, just drive straight and in less than 5 minutes, you can see a signages stated Ayer Keroh Rest Area. This area is beautifully being designed and worth a stop-by. The archway itself replicates its owns and Melaka identity.
Here you can get lots of tips from an authorized government travel advisor or so call Tourism Officer. There is an Information booth here with officers that willing to help you with lots of tips.
There are also toilet facility (clean toilet), restaurant and even a hotel by the name of Hotel Seri Malaysia. This hotel is just being build and recently start its operations, so we can expect fresh smells of newly build-up facility and the amenities still in tip-top conditions.
Again, if you are happen to enter Melaka by Ayer Keroh, just have a visit.
Fixed Price Taxis
by matjung
In Negeri Melaka, Melaka City and Ayer Keroh I was travelling mostly by taxi.
The taxis in Melaka City have a fixed price system.
From the central bus stop to your hotel its to 90% always 15 ringgit.
Within Melaka City its always 10 ringgit.
This may not sound much to you, but if the taxis were metered the fare would only be 4 or 5 ringgit.
From Melaka City to Ayer Keroh its about 20 or 25 ringgit.
You can also rent taxis by hour, this costs about 25 or 30 ringgit depending on how many hours you need the car.
A one day trip - about 12 hours - was about 250 ringgit.
Travelling by taxi is the most convenient way to explore Negeri Melaka.
Shopping Mall & Departmental Stores in Melaka
by yipsufen about Jusco Ayer Keroh
This is a shopping mall with Jusco as an anchor tenant. Singaporeans like to cross the causeway over the weekends and stock up some groceries and household items here as they are cheaper comparatively. You need to pay parking fees eventhough you are parking outside of Jusco's compounds.

Going to Ayer Keroh from Melaka
by vonvonz
Hello again, I forget to include this question in my previous post. -_-;
Anyone know how much and how long it will be if I take a cab from the town to Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary?
Are there any other transport options for us to get from melaka town to ayer keroh?
Thank you

Going to Ayer Keroh from Melaka
by kentut_besar
May come to around MYR 30/- ++ per trip.
Cheaper for you to take a MYR 10/- ticket each on the topless dbl-decker bus tours; 1 of the places they stop @ is the Butterfly Farm & Reptile Sanctuary.
Once done @ these places, just wait @ the pick-up point near the Butterfly Farm, & the bus will send you back to town. You can buy bus tickets @ Aldy Stadhuys Reception Desk.
Hope this helps

Where is A'Famosa Resort ?
by Malikita
Hi all,
the map shown on afamosa.com is very brief. Can someone tell me where exactly is A'Famosa Resort? Is it near to Zoo, Crocodile Farm, Jaya Jusco, General hospital, Sweet hobbies pet house or where is it near to? Where is the nearest building, hotel or shooping mall? Does anyone know of website that gives a detail map of how I'mm going to get to A'Famosa Resort from Mahkota?
RE: Where is A'Famosa Resort ?
by mansionion
Hi!
A'Famosa Resort is in Alor Gajah, no where near to Ayer Keroh (Zoo, Jusco etc). Frm Ayer Keroh, easies way to go there is by Taking the North-South Expressway and take the Alor Gajah exit (1 exit after Ayer Keroh). Frm there, you can get the direction of A'Famosa Resort, which is approx 10km frm the Tol Plaza.

I want to drive to malacca from woodland checkpoints.

Re: Re: drive to malacca

Hi!
If you plan to go to the historical city, you should take the Ayer Keroh exit instead of the Alor Gajah exit - its nearer and easier to go to the to the city centre. Take the alor Gajah exit if you plan to go to the Alor Gajah town or the A Famosa Resort.
Hve a safe & pleasant drive to Melaka!
