Hi there,
Hope to hear some advise from the forum on nearest hotel from Malacca to Masjid Tanah. or will it be shorter distance to stay in Port Dickson instead. How far will the distance to travel from Malacca/ Port Dickson to Masjid?

Masjid Tanah is sandwhiched btw Melaka and PD. Hotel Samudera is located within Masjid Tanah town itself (check details at my Masjid Tanah page) and there are few other hotel/beach resorts in Tg Bidara, abt 15min drive frm the town.

There are several museum lies on Dutch Square in old Malacca. Such as Ethnographic Museum [in the Stadthuys], Youth Museum, Museum Budaya and People's Museum. Also the Proclamation of Independence Memorial.
This place can't be missed really. The exterior of the building is quite loud and so are the t-shirts and the art for sale in Orangutan House. The house exhibits art by the local artist Charles Cham. When I was in Melaka it was the Chinese year of the monkey and there were some beautiful t-shirts for sale. I should have bought one, since I'm a monkey too according to the Chinese. Too bad I didn't purchase one, because it would have been a great souvenir.
