We have stayed for 3 days in this little hotel with chalets on the beach. It's a romantic peachfull place without the luxery of a hotel. The chalets of wood are build in the Malaysian style. The resort is near the beach but you can better use the swimming pool, the seawater is not so clean. Sadly enough is the swimming pool of Shah's very little but if you have the guts, take your slippers & towl, and walk by the beach to the swimmingpool of the Riviera Bay Resort.
The doors & windows of the chalets are very difficult to close, you need to push with your shoulder sometimes to close the door. Inside really bad lighting & if you loose your contactlens inside, good luck! We got a 2 persons bed & that one is for people above 170 centimeter to small... europeans, like me, who like to have a good night rest can better seek a another resort or hotel.
Lucky the aircon is working as it must be :))) Bathroom is really basic and has no seperate door for the shower. You can better put your clothes on bed else everything get totally wet.
In the room you will find a very small television... if you not speak any Malay & you love to watch TV in the evening after a busy day... please seek for a different hotel, only what you get on this television set are some free-to-air local TV channels.
If you don't care about luxery, Malaysian TV channels & peachfull resort... then is Shah's Beach Resort your place... but for RM 180 for one night & two pax... you will find better resorts in the local neighberhood...
Unique Quality: The Beach & the Malaysian style chalets... but that's all...
Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

Q:Driver cost "Wold anyone have a rough idea in Australian dollars , how much it would cost to hire a taxi/ driver to take us from Malaka central..."
A: "We used a taxi to KL central a few years ago- it cost us about A$90 if my memory serves me correct.
To KLIA it could be a bit more.
I would also recommend that you..."
