Economy & Wealth Distribution

State of Melaka as a whole is still very much depending on agricultural products with the exception of touristy and artistic charms around the Bandar Hilir. Street artists, food and drinks industries however blend in very well in Melaka because of its unique richness in both cultural and heritage values.
The fondest impression for me (since young) on Melaka are those talented street artists who make a living by painting really nice paintings based on A'Famosa, St. Paul Hill, Dutch Square, even the Jonkers St. and becoming the best tourism publicity material that keep drawing foreign tourists pouring into Melaka because some friends or friends of their visited Melaka before. They may not be rich, but they really contribute great deal to Melaka tourism.

Of course there are other mean of sacrifice besides the burning of incense, paper with gold sheets in the middle, fruits & flowers and many other sacrifices imaginable by Chinese.

What you can find in Malacca?
by diageva about Many things
there are a lots of antiques shops (with all what you can imagen) , chinise shops (papers for burning,...), artesan shops (things of natural wood). If you want to buy something sweet to eat you have a big shopping centre at the port near the St. Paul's hill. There you will find donuts.. and all sort of things.
