The attic room was an experience !

Truly sensible accomodation for the outdoorsmen, after enjoying the sights and treks of Camerons, comes back to a warm welcome of hot shower in the cool evenings.

The manager and his lovely wife will entertain you - scrabbles, chess or the bonfire ? With lots of stories by fellow travellers. That night, a German was relating his adventures in Thailand.

And some of them stay for months !

So near to town, only 2 minutes too ALL the restaurants of Tanah Rata - Chinese, Muslim, Indian, Western Cuisine all available.

Don't blush at what you have to pay - it's a bargain !

Mr Yeke the owner will welcome you like an old friend and then introduce you to everyone else staying there. Paying particular attention to where you come from. He was very impressed he had 2 Americans staying there at the same time because they don't often visit.

There is a great atmosphere in this place, get chatting to someone in the courtyard and you've made a friend for life (well for the next couple of days at least)

Unique Quality: Very simple shared facilities but hot showers, which after a month of cold showers in Thailand was heaven!!

Directions: From the bus station walk up the hill and take the first left, keep walking straigh ahead and you will come to the Twin Pines

Nice place, friendly staff, internet on site (only 1 computer)..

Unique Quality: HOT SHOWERS (sorry, after backpacking for 6 months, it's quite exciting!)

Directions: If you come by bus, their tout will take you back to the hotel...It's about 20 ringgit for a double, 25 for shower inside the room.
