Best Western Suria Cherating: Worst Kept Secret

I knew this hotel long before it became part of Best Western chain of hotels. Few time came here but never check-in formally. I have decided that my visit this time will be a night stay here. We came in a group of 5 and decided to booked 2 rooms.

To my dismay, this hotel has been run down compare to its opening sometime in 2004. The room conditions is medioce and it did not live up to its 4 stars status.

Karaoke room has been closed forever, wellness center which are not well enough, and the worse when i had my breakfast. It is very basic and tasteless. We have been given friend noodle, pressed rice with peanut gravy. To make it worst, we met with unfriendly waiter. He had a crumpled shirt and simply took away unfinished plate without even has a courtesy to ask our permission to clear the table.

The pool are also poorly maintained when there are lots of beach sand beneath the pool and mind you when people with shirt, long-scarves and jeans are allowed to go in the pool. This has made me off the pool. I would not recommend this hotel unless few things has been improved.

Kitchen

The kitchen are complete... they have empty fridge, lots of empty cabinets, not plate, no bold, but they have a few spoons also glass.

Bed are romantic

The arrangement of the bed, are cool to me and its very confirtable, and if you are with kids, there are not enaugh space for bed for the family, you can request extra matress, i am not sure how much a metress.

living room

The living room is ok for me, quite huge, kids can run here and there, also can play hide and seek... but it a bit dusty, not sure when was the last time they cleaning up the apartment room. The TV condicion are ok, but the channel aren't that good, and they only have a local channel.. so not much choice for entertainment.

The Road to the hotel

This is quite scary for me when i first get here, the road are quite dangerouse. During the night the light around the road hardly can be seen, and the zig zag road quite danger to drive expacially the night with heavy haze or raining. When you get to this place, just imagine yourself that you are in a horror movie, its feels like u really are in the movie.... hehehe, you can be a real life actor.

Apaerment Suite: Genting Apartment

This hotel apartment enviroment from the outside look a little scary. It is at the top of the hills, but the road, hardly can be driven, so they have a charter services for the visitor. The building look a little old as you can see in the picture, and inside of the apartment, it look cool though... not many people are staying there unless if it on holiday seasons. I dont really like that place... it just an honest speaking :P.

But i like the enviroment from the apartment, it was so beautiful.

Unique Quality: The facilities.. are ok, the TV channel, its just a local channel, it hard to get a good quality channel here thought, no aircond as the area are chill all the time, and really cold at night, so i was sleeping with sweather on. the kitchen are complete but the fridge are totally empty. The place a bit dirty (dust ) around the area.
