i wonder anyone knew what is the faster way travel from tampin to kuantan? any train service to kuantan?thanks!

Re: tampin-kuantan

No train, Driving is the fastest way. Or you can take bus from Seremban or Melaka.

To get there driving:
Drive towards Segamat, and from Segamat, go to Bandar Tun Razak, and then to Bandar Muazam Shah. From here to Gambang, and then Kuantan.

Travel Tips for Kuantan

Kuantan Fishing Boats

by ATXtraveler

Kuantan and Malaysia in whole have some very well organized fishing boats and regulations. Each boat is marked in several different places so that the vessel is easily identifiable.

In the picture below you can see that the boat's cabin is yellow, which shows the location where the ship is from. In this case it means it is from Parang, which is the province in which Kuantan is located.

Also on the ship there is the letter "A". Basically there are three different letter designations on each ship. A means that it fishes the waters 0-12 km away from the shore in their province. B designates 12-40km, and C designates 40+kms.

This is an interesting little tidbit to look out for while you are enjoying the Kuantan area!

The Sungei Pandan Waterfalls consists of a series of cascading falls making a large cooling pool underneath and makes a place for swimmers. It is well maintained and clean area with recreation facilties, shelters, food stalls.

A suspension bridge spans the river makes it even more beautiful as from this bridge one can have a clear view of the whole falls from the centre.

Heading East

by Wardatul

"This is life!....."

It's pretty embarassing to be a Malaysian for the past 27 and have never been to a state just 3 hours away from Kuala Lumpur. But, In June i hauled myself and a friend for a short visit to Kuantan, Pahang and to check out the famous Cherating. Needless to say, Cherating took my breath away... sandy white beaches.... and of course, their seafood!
