Panching/Charah caves

There is a limestone 9-meter long statue of the reclining Buddha. This cave is located on the way to Sungai Lembing. The Charah caves have always been the site of Buddhist monk and serve as a meditation retreats for Buddhist monks and nuns.

Old Chinese Coffee Shop

This coffee shop is newly opened in August 2004. It is kopitiam-style and serves coffee, tea, nasi lemak (santan rice), toast, some snacks, etc.

You can see some old deco in the coffee shop like the old Shanghai cover girl posters.

Beserah Beach

Beserah is a fishing village and is well-known for salted fish. It is situated 10km from Kuantan.

A batik factory and many cottage handicraft workshops producing items made mostly of sea shells and local plant materials (dried nuts, leaves) can be found in Beserah.

At the parking bay, there are some Malay eateries.

Kuantan

I used to live here. But because of my studies I moved to Kuala Lumpur and work and live there now.

I like the food here and it's so convenient everything is like 10 minutes away from the beach to shopping malls and friends place

wreck diving in kuantan (not really.. but yeah..)

when i paid for my 'kuantan wreck diving' trip, i thought i was going to finally dived the HMS repulse and the HMS prince of wales lying 9 hours off the coast of kuantan. yeah right.. we didnt even make it to kuantan thanks to a midnight hailstorm, and our boat 'beachboy' only managed to chugged 5 hours from endau, johor to somewhere in pekan, pahang. hhmm so much of kuantan wreck (yeah hms repulse was not even in the picture at all!) so we dived a wreck that was supposed to be a ww2 ship.. all i could make out of it was pieces of scrap metal lying on the sea bed.. well there was an air gun.. but that was it.. but nevertheless 2 days 2 nights on beachboy was hell lot of fun traversing the south china sea from endau north to tioman island and back!
