Legend Resort Cherating
Located about 45 km from Kuantan at Cherating. This resort is popular amongs local for their holidays.
The breakfast is not bad and there is a wide selections of hot and cold meal from breads, sausages, cereals, eggs, fruits, buns, nasi lemak, noodles and pancakes.
Unique Quality: Two swimming pool and a seperate pool for children. A Gym, two jacuzzi, sauna. The beach is just a stroll away from the resort and the sand is very soft.

Maybe you can try the Legend Resort Cherating - it is neighbouring Club Med so basically you'll enjoy the same strech of beach.

besides Legend there is another resort -Impiana, nice location/beach.i realy like their room decoration.have fun.

I on the other hand loves cherating village and i used to stay in coconut inn, tanjung inn but not sure it's still there. They are huts and kampung houses so it's not fancy but I went for it's character since I can stay in regular hotels anytime. I used to pay like 50 to 60 rm per night and some kampung houses house 3 of us so it's really resonable.There are lots of really really yummy restaurant in cherating village too. So hope you will like it.

Is there a direct train service from SG to Kuantan and then transfer to cherating (i have yet to decide on the resort- my family members having different views !urgh) ?

The Legend Resort, Cherating is a good choice and not so expensive as compared to the Club Med. Compound is big with all facilities, swimming pool and beach are great too. Check out my Cherating and Kuantan page for more info. TQ
