We got a real good treatment by the family of the owner. We could even buy our own fish and the cook made a real good meal out of it. 6 years ago we paid 88 RM for the four of us.

M.S Garden Hotel
I stayed here on another business trip for a night. It was a deluxe room. The room was bigger then average and it had a good view of the town, especially at night.
The standard amenities provided in the room was really limited (soap, toothpaste/brush, robe, slippers, shaver, etc.). For a promising 4-star hotel more can be done to improve on these petty items.
Unique Quality: Superb location, right in the middle of town.

MS Garden Hotel
The 4* hotel is the best city hotel in Kuantan... Its location is central... For shopping, the hotel is just next to the Berjaya Megamall with its many shops and eateries... The beach at Teluk Chempedak is about 5km away or just a 10 minutes drive...
The rooms are big by any standard... and very comfortable...
Unique Quality: The hotel has a nice swimming pool overlooking the lobby and coffee terrace... with attached gymnasium and jacuzzi facilities... There is a Chinese restaurant and a Fun Pub besides the Coffee Terrace...

A place to stay
There are a couple of 'big' hotels within Kuantan itself and these are MS Garden, Vistana and Swiss Garden. However, these are all located in town. If you prefer the beach hotels there are a couple lined up along the road up to Terengganu. Most of these are located in Cherating which is about 30 minutes drive from Kuantan Town. Some professionally operated ones include Legend, Impiana, etc while there are small and cheaper ones operated by the locals.

Convenient location
MS Gardens is large hotel in the CBD of Kuantan. It is very popular with business people. It has 2 restaurants, a small gym and a pool. Rooms are a good size and have a great big bathroom. The staff are very helpful also.

Hey I am going Kuantan again, this time business !! Can anyone tell me where is the court house located (both Session & Megistrate)? and which hotel is suitable to stay that won't cause me too much trouble to find the court house ?

hey Aud, thanks so much for the trouble and quick reply. Thought the 'longest road' in Kuantan is Beserah ? not familiar with the town though, always gave me the impression Jln Beserah starts from town to the port !!
