Good reasonably priced place
Good place for the money. Just 40 Rm a night. Great for a backpacker like me. Found tons of families parking out in the resort so I huess the family quarters were good as well.
Unique Quality: Bang near the water. Lovely clean place.

Good Local Chalet
This chalet is situated in Salang, Tioman. My friends and I stayed there for 3 days and it is a basic yet a good and competetive chalet available along Salang beach. The service given by the owner (I think it is a family run business) is great. All query about the island and request has been fulfilled satisfactorily. Facilities although it is quite limited (it is a chalet), but we may request for coffe making facilities if needed. If you wanna visit here, please ask for the chalet which build on the edge of the water due to its beautiful and panoramic view. The restaurant for this chalet cooks good local food. If you travel more than 15pax, you may request for a speedboat to transport you from the mainland to here. The activities that being included in the 3 days package is also great, you will be brought to a couple of beautiful coral spot for snorkeling activities. 5 times meal per day is provided in this package. Well, i would recommend this place to others (for budget traveller) due to its panoramic, attached clean toilet facilities, services by the owner and of course it is situated in Salang Beach.

Huts over the sea.
Costing 90 RM for the huts over the sea was well worth it, though it is best to go see which hut you want before asking to get these huts. Some of the huts are just over the rocks so if you really want it over sea get the numbers of these huts. The tide will go out and you will be over rocks no matter what hut you stay in as the huts are not that far out.
The huts have a fridge, air conditioning and quite a dodgy bathroom with bath and shower. They are quite run down these days as the entire island seems to be sincr it's time of fame and popularity.
There are plenty of choice of different accomodation in the Salang Indah Resort and they are all close to everything as Salang is quite a small area. Has a decent restaurant, shop, and reception for trip bookings.
