Unique Quality: Located on the other side of the lagoon, this resort is - 300 m away from the beach - in a very groomed garden setting with many shady trees. The resort provides both simple but clean standard huts with fan and more comfortable big air-condition wooden bungalows for two to five persons.
There is a restaurant in this resort, with good food and reasonably priced! For those who are looking for souvenirs, a nearby mini mart sells Tioman t-shirt.
A part from that, this resort offers laundry services and also rental for water sports (mask & snorkels, fins, life jackets, floaters)
The place has a nice garden...with variety of plants n trees. Room rates are around RM45-RM200. I stayed here once...it was an ac room with hot water n a fridge that cost me RM120. The room was nice n comfortable but the only view I had was plants, trees n grass. It'll take you a few minutes to the beach.
Unique Quality: For those seeking comfort on Salang Village..this is the place...
Directions: Walk up straight from the jetty...pass by the Salang Complex...go straight n cross a bridge n you're there...
There're are 2 bridges: the one on your right will take you to Salang Sayang Resort, Monkey Bay n other places.
The service is OK. Upon arrival, the staff carried my heavy bags and I need not worry about carrying them to the hut. Boiled water is also given upon request.
Facilities is average. However, there are several shops of walking distance around. Shops selling souvenirs and renting out of snorkeling, diving equipment.
Short trips to Coral Island and other parts of Pulau Island are also available at these shops. Just approach the staff and they will arrange the trips, including a boat for you.
Salang Pusaka Resort may satisfy you if you want to find a average resort which does not break your bank and yet stil have a clean environment.
Besides Salang Beach(where Salang Pusaka Resort is) is one of the most beautiful beach in Tioman. Be sure to snokel here as the water is crystal clear on a bright day and corals are a clear view.
Unique Quality: A unique charateristics is the soft green grass outside the huts. Perfect for picnics in the day and chit-chatting at night...
Salang Beach is more busy at night than other parts of Pulau Tioman.
Seaview chalet is available at Salang Pusaka Resort too.
If you're regretting not bringing a book to read at the calm beach, don't fret. There's actually a mini library in a shop in Salang Beach! I caught a Sidney Sheldon book...
Directions: North of Tioman Island. Only five minutes away from the jetty.
Ferry, high-speed ferry and high-speed boat can be arranged by Salang Pusaka Resort. contact them or view webpage for details.
