Hotel Bumi Gajah: Stay in Batu Gajah

The hotel is near by Ipoh-Lumut highway. It's only 2km from Batu Gajah town. 20km to Ipoh & 76km to Lumut. They are great staying there.

Clearwater Sanctuary: Batu Gajah's Best Resort with a Natural Difference

We spent two full days at this resort ie 24 to 26 October 2007. We were given the chalet where the renowned Hong Kong actor Chow Yuen Fatt stayed when he was at the location to film "Anna and the King". It is truly a chalet resort with a natural difference. We had many glimpses of monitor lizards swimming in the water lily pond just next to our chalet.

The resort provides facilities like golfing, fishing as well as fine dining. Even my good friend Mr Hor Kean Seng, a successful contractor from Bandar Sri Damansara knows about this hideaway. I would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet place to relax with the family.

This resort is only a short distance to the famous Kellis Castle, the pride of Batu Gajah.

Unique Quality: My son-in-law Marcus James Townsend virtually fell in love with the place. He had a wonderful time golfing, fishing, swimming with his family-my daughter Debbie Townsend and granddaughter Genevieve Lee Townsend. They will certainly make another trip to this great place again.

No hotel in town, but...

I am pretty sure that there is no hotel in this town. It's more convenient to stay in Ipoh. However there is one place nearby called Clearwater Sanctuary Resort. They have a few good chalets. Check the website below.
It's about 10 minutes away, by car, from Batu Gajah town. Not suitable to walk from the town. There's no public bus going to this place.

Unique Quality: The latest version of Anna and the King was filmed here. One of the constructed building for this film is still there.
