Clearwater Sanctuary Resort: Perfect Retreat
It was lovely! Very relaxing as it was based on the golf course, so all quite quiet (except my kids!) The resort is originally only a golf course but they have built the chalets and suites (two chalets together) and they are very pleasant. The each have a small balacony that looks out onto one of the numerous lakes and it was beautiful. Bonuses were the family of otters that live there and come and talk to you each morning and evening. There are monitor lizards aplenty and fish, birds etc by the bucket load! Very nicely appointed in the area while remaining a little wild (not too much like Endau Rompin) but not a commercial resort where you never get in touch with the wild. The only thing that let the side down was average food. Plenty of choice but nothing stood out and much of it was fuel not pleasure eating! Highly recommend it for all aspects of the stay. I must also say that the staff were terrific and it is very true that they make or break a stay - they could not have been more helpful, even to the point of sorting out my car problems when it wouldn't start.
Unique Quality: Great wildlife and golf if you are into it. Plenty for families and kids to do with a nice pool and bikes for hire and other activities. There is also a spa for the ladies (and gents!)

Hotel Sun Inns: Hotel Sun Inns ,a long way to go!
Facilites : 2/5
Clear Sign To your room/Exit :0/5 (not sure how they get the go ahead to operate from the authority and a lot of people will get kill when fire breakout)
Size of the room : 4/5 .. budget hotel expectation
Facilities : 2 towels , 1 glass , 1 thermos and a water cooler along the hallway
No lift and the steep stairways .. watch out old folks and children!
Deposit : yes , make sure you return the key and the tv remote!
Credit card : as of today , the "inn" still do not have any credit card machine and the nearest bank is somewhere need tambun town or Jusco/Tesco area.
No breakfast , No lounge , only sleep area.
Got discount because of all this limitation , due to no credit card machine ,cable tv is not up yet.
Unique Quality: Monopoli hotel as stay next to the sunway lost world and oh yes , GIANT hypermarket.
15 minutes drive to your favourite ipoh chicken rice in the town.
<5 minutes drive to lost world of tambun and giant hypermarket
<5 minutes to hospital
<30 minutes to the nearest PLUS interchange

Banding Island Resort, North Perak: Island hotel in middle of dam and jungle
Stayed here overnight. It was great to be close to nature, the tranquil lake, on an island in a dam and in the middle of the rainforest.
Room was basic and comfortable. We used a lot of mosquito spray just in case.
Food was enjoyable as several unique fish species from the lake was served.
Would recommend a nice stop if you are into lake fishing, jungle trekking and a journey to visit an orang asli village.
Also to visit Belum Park.

Hotel Seri Malaysia Ipoh: One Of Our Favourites Budget Hotel!
Seri Malaysia Will always be our first choice as one of the budget hotel to stay in but it happened to be fully booked on the day of our arrival since we didn't book our rooms much earlier. But one of the staff at the reception counter name Mr. Bakri goes through all the trouble to find for us another hotel nearby. Apart from all the facilities provided the staff at Seri Malaysia like Mr. Bakri is one of the reason we keep coming back !

After Checking Out From Grand view Hotel, We Decided To Find A Hotel That’s Nearby To The Lost World Of Tambun And We Found Hotel Sun Inn! Hotel Sun Inn Is A Newly Opened (About 1 Month) 3 Storey Hotel That Provides Reasonable Room Tariff, Clean And Well Maintained Room, IDD Telephone, Accepts MASTER And VISA Cards And Etc2. The Front-Desk Receptionist, Guards And It’s Staff Are Very Friendly And Approachable! If Your Trying To Find A Good And Cheap Hotel Near To The Lost World, Look No Further!
Unique Quality: Has A Great View Of Surrounding Limestone Hills. Very Eye-Soothing And Relaxing!

Grand View Hotel: Decent Hotel In Ipoh, Perak
Grand View Hotel, An 8th storey Hotel With Decent Facilities. All The Hotel Rooms Is Equipped With Cable T.V, Coffee Making Facility, International Dialing And Hot Water. But Sadly, We Found Some Of The Front-Desk Receptionist Attitude Unpleasant And Some Parts Of The Hotel Looks Unmaintained. Particularly The Hotel Bathrooms And Air-cons.
Unique Quality: The Hotel Is Within Walking Distance To Nearby Business Districts, Major Shopping Zones, Restaurants And Famous Food Courts In Ipoh.

Damai Luat Resort: Lumut
Our stay is not very good.
Service is not too bad.
Room facilities is not good, very dirty, shower heater is broken.
No way to go at night, just stay at the hostel caht with family.
Unique Quality: Pool is ok.
