I had a pleasant stay at this quite pleasant town. Life here is relaxing, simple with warm local people, especially the owner of the hotel, showing me how to get to few attraction places - the beauty of this peaceful town and where to get the nice and cheap food. The food here is really cheap and delicious, especially the famous "Lao Wang Ngah Chai Kai" (Ipoh chicken ho fan) and also the famous 'White coffee" in town, etc. It's a good place to stop by after a visit to K.L. and on the way to North of Malaysia, Penang.
Located at the centre of the city. Simple, nice and neat. Very near to a biggest hawker centre in the city. Very near to the famous food like "Ipoh Chicken Ho fan" (Ipoh's chicken noodle).
The apartments are not far from the other accommodation (hotel) under the branch of Swiss Garden International. There is regular shuttle service to the hotel where dining and entertainment are more complete.
Catch a glimpse of monkeys along journey to this place. Breath-taking holiday experience at Damai Laut, (off Lumut / Pangkor). The beach is overlooking Pangkor Island.
Piture is Heritage Hotel, the location is Tambun Road (if not mistaken), its on the same road driving towards Tambun Caves, the opposite way is to Ipoh city centre. This hotel is quite big, I supposed 5 star lah. I'm not here to promote free for hotels, I just want let tourists know there are some big hotels in Ipoh.
Low budget hotels are really abundant in the city centre, tourists looking for budget hotels, only need to take a bus to Ipoh, then take a cab to somewhere nearby Lou Wong Taugeh Chicken which is right in the city centre. I saw so many old cheap hotels, and have once stayed in a cheap hotel cost RM45, huge room with bathroom attached. Inside the hotel reception, you can see something 'unusual' but you just don't ask too much, just smile and go into your room, and you will be happy.
Rumah Tumpangan Woh Heng is perfectly situated at the middle of the city Ipoh, close to all the must see shops and must EAT restaurants. If you are coming by bus or train, you can definitely stay here.
Hotel dan Bar Sin Seng Hin is another great hotel of Ipoh, location is just beautiful, ngam-ngam at the most important spot for you to eat Taugeh Chicken and the next morning eat the Dim Sum at Foh San, then you can buy some famous Ipoh biscuits and Ipoh white coffee. Also if you need Ipoh's beautiful girls.
