Opened in 1997, the golf course is designed by Ronald Fream... The 18-hole, par-72 course plays to 6,350m from the championship tees... The 1st nine named The Hill Nine plays along the hills while the scenic 2nd Nine or The Lake Nine has many holes along the lakes... The signature hole is the par-4 hole #5 plays downhill to the Dinding River... The clubhouse has a Pro Shop with a wide range of golf attire and equipment... Next to it is the Golfers' Terrace where you can relax with a drink and snacks... The club provides the usual facilities such as buggy, golf sets and shoes for rental...

Pulau Pangkor

Pulau Pangkor is easily accessible from Lumut town itself. Simply take a ferry from Lumut ferry terminal and within 45 minutes, you will be in Pulau Pangkor

The last time I was there, I paid RM10 (US$3) for the ferry ride. Quite cheap!!

Climb This Hill

The highest peak around Lumut is Bukit Ungku Busu - around 350 m or 1 100 ft high. Very popular in the mornings and evenings with the keep-fit club, retirees and senior citizens.

Sometimes you can find pretty young ladies and handsome young guys too !

Takes just about 1 1/2 hr for the up-and-down climb if you are fit. Go straight on the road to the Naval Base, and then turn at the road opposite the Police Station, after the apartment block, and the Orient Star hotel.

Night market/ Pasar Malam

Manjung(frm Lumut is 3 mins drive) is also a good place to visit a Pasar Malam, or night market.

You find on Sunday night a Pasar Malam near Billion. When you are in front of Billion. go right and take the last street to the left and follow the cars.

On Monday night there's a Pasar Malam in the direction of Teluk Rubiah. If you have your own transport, follow the direction to Sitiawan, take the road to Manjung and after at the traffic lights, go right. This is the road to Teluk Rubiah. You'll find the Pasar Malam after about 1.5 kilometer.

It starts from 5pm till 10pm..can buy anything here from food, groceries to clothes.

"Introduction"

This time decided to take a drive to Lumut, the coastal town in the state of Perak, Malaysia. The town is a great place to relax, not much activities around here, except of you love beaches. The beach in Lumut is just average but otherwise, it is a good place to shop for sea products and is also the gateway to go to Pangkor Island.
