Orient Star Resort
There are 150 rooms consisting of 4 VIP Suites, 6 Junior Suites, 8 Super Deluxe rooms, 66 Deluxe rooms and 66 Superior Rooms... All rooms have a panoramic view of the sea and its surrounding areas... The usual amenities such as CTV, IDD telephone, fridge, hot and cold water... The resort also manages the Lumut International Yacht Club located nearby... The club provides berths for at least 40 boats and dry parking facilties for some 80 boats on trailer...
Unique Quality: Local and international cuisine is served at the Tiara Coffee House and guests can relax with drinks at the Nilam Lounge... The resort has a landscaped swimming pool and a gymnasium for guest...

The Orient Star Resort
This hotel is located right in the middle of Lumut, beside the Naval base. The Orient Star Resort is by no means new or modern nor does it have any other amenities like a working gym or spa so I don't know why they call it a resort
However, it is affordable and has the basic necessasities like hot water and airconditioning. It doesn't have satellite TV or a remote control for your TV. The floors are tiled so if you walk barefoot in the room, your feet will freeze. You can easily see that it's an old hotel but for the location and views from the balcony, it's OK

Biggest and most impressive hotel in Lumut.
But usually quiet, as most holidaymakers would prefer to spend their time on Pangkor Island, just 5 km, and 30 min by ferry, away.

One of the best Place to stay in Lumut
Situated on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, is a quiet coastal town of Lumut, Perak. Once known as fishing village and a hop-off point to Pangkor Island, it has welcomed the presence of The Orient Star Resort - a deluxe resort located along the town's beachfront overlooking the azure blue sea.
150 spacious and luxuriously appointed rooms consisting of 4 VIP Suites, 5 Junior Suites, 108 Deluxe Rooms and 33 Superior Rooms.
All rooms have a panoramic view with modern comfort and amenities. These include individually controlled air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, IDD telephone, color TV, coffee & tea making facilites, mini refrigerator & mini bar (request), 220 volt electrical points, 110 volt / 220 volt electric shaver point.
Room double for RM 150/night + 2 breakfast
