High ratings for a great place!

We came for a short stay but extended due to the more than adequate accommodations, convenient location and very, very helpful and friendly staff - and all this for a very reasonable price. Maybe not a plush and luxurious place, but it was clean, functional and well run. The bed & room were both large and comfortable. Refrigerator & good TV in the room - clean and functional bathroom with plenty of hot water. WiFi throughout hotel with dedicated service to each floor, plus a bank of free Internet computers in the lobby for those without traveling laptops. Nice desk in room to set up laptop. Light breakfast, coffee, tea & juices available in the morning on top floor with both inside or outside sitting + great morning view.

We highly recommend this hotel.

Unique Quality: The most outstanding quality in our view, was the helpful staff. We arrived a couple of serious problems. One was a Dell laptop that decided to malfunction and refused to connect to hotel systems. The Mingood has staff available to help with such Internet connections. If they cannot solve the problem (our case), they knew where to take it. With us along, a hotel staff person walked the laptop over to a nearby computer shop. A young technician had the problem solved in just a few minutes - and NO CHARGE !

The other problem was our need to get a 90 day visa for Thailand. Our visit to the Thai embassy in Singapore resulted in failure and being told that in our particular situation we could not get such a visa. This is another thing that the staff at the Mingood are known to handle. Again, the problem was handled with professionalism and efficiency. We had our Thai visas in hand before we checked out to head north.

Hotel staff were also great with their recommendations regarding places to eat, sites to see, best types of local transportation for various needs and destinations. No pressure or hustle, just helpful and sincere service when asked.

A three star hotel

Not a luxurious hotel but clean and it has easy access to the downtown of the city, but it has no beach view....my family and I stayted at it when we could not find any vacancy in any other hotel because of a national holiday then.we only stayed there for 2 nights, then we moved to one of the beach front hotels.

Unique Quality: The room provided for us was very large almost like 2 bedrooms attached to eachother, with 4 beds.
