We are most thrilled to unveil the newest Hotel in Penang The Gurney Resort Hotel and Residences. The Gurney is a sea-front resort cum business and entertainment hotel, highly regarded as one of the most prominent deluxe hotels in city.
It is located along the renowned tourist belt of Gurney Drive, adjacent to the new Central Business District and is less than five minutes away from all major shopping complexes and corporate towers.
For the active ones, there is the Recreational Park - an acre of elevated fun-themed park. For watery fun, there are adult swimming pool, children wave pool, water slides, lazy river ride and lots of waterfalls. For fitness- oriented activities, there are archery, beach volleyball, gymnasium, table tennis, sauna and steam bath. And for fun-oriented activities, there are pool tables, footballs, board games, darts craft and worshop by the poolside.

Attended many events at this convenient business hotel. It is located at the upper end of Penang Road near Chulia Street.
What I like is the excellent Japanese hotel in the hotel. There is also a Chinese and ala carte restaurant. Hotel multistorey car park is adequate. The hotel is located near other restaurants and karaoke parlours.
Felt that room size is a bit small. Otherwise, room amenities are comfortable.
Popular with budget business travel as well as tour groups.

All suites are stylishly decorated in resort style and are equipped with exceptional amenities and conveniences such as jacuzzi, washing machine, dining table, etc. Next to the hotel is a stretch of coffee joints, pubs & restaurants.
Take a slow walk along Gurney Drive in the evening, Gurney Plaza is only 20mins walk away.

This is a cheap and friendly guesthouse located 38 steps from Batu Feringgi Beach! The prices are US$7.00 for a double fan room and a bit more for aircon. This is a friendly guesthouse located in the best location, on the best beach!
Cheap and on the Batu Feringgi Beach! Very helpful too, with bus and ferries. Also there is no curfew nor lock-outs. Very friendly services from all the staff - the front desk, housekeeping and bell boys (men, especially Tommy). For only RM$98 nett with breakfast, this hotel is value for money!
It is close to all historical tourist attractions, food and if you are in a party mood, the night life is just across the street.
Since my first stay at the hotel in 2001, I have always had a great room with a wonderful view of E & O HOTEL and the sea, which some other more expensive hotel don't even have. I didn't even have to ask or pay extra for my "seaview"!
On many occasions when I arrived Penang early in the morning (7:30am), I am glad the staff allow me to check in early. Some other hotels are a stickler to the "Check in/ Check out" time. But at Continental Hotel, you can request for an early check in and late check out without much of a problem.
What not to like about this hotel? Nothing! When you are paying only RM$98, I am getting more than I have bargained for!
Small tip: Call the hotel for your room reservations, they don't have a website.

24 double-storey terrace houses built in 1926 have been restored and renovated into this charming little hotel. This cluster of buildings used to house the British colonial officers before being used as a Government staff office block.
Parking is available but limited.
Quite a good location as it is right smack in the middle of town, Hotel 1926 is 2 Km
(5 minutes) from Georgetown and 12 Km (25 minutes) from the Penang International Airport.

This hotel is ideally located between Penang city center and the tourist district.
It has sea-facing suites that are huge. I have seen houses smaller than our suite.
We had a huge bedroom with bath, and a very large living/dining/kitchenette combo.
A balcony across the front of both rooms.
I would recommend this hotel to all my friends.
Great views out over the beach and sea.
Service was very good.
Breakfast buffet was huge with American and Asian food.
