I loved staying here. Great view, great location in Batu Ferringhi and a few minutes walk to the beach. Ideal for those people who want an at-home feel.
Anne has a few properties; I stayed at the Eden Fairway Condominium.
100RM/night (3 bdrm)
3 bedrooms, aircondtioning, fully equiped kitchen, washing machine & dryer and satellite TV. There is a pool on the grounds for your use as well.
gee... you may wondering what is the "no chicken in the hotel". it means no bringing in prostitute and no prostitution in the hotel. this place is very save for the single women and family backpackers.
walking distance to lotz of historical places...like Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, God of Mercy Temple, Little India, Kapitan Keling Mosque, Carpenter Temple, Komtar..... etc
I'm usually very wary of taxi drivers offering hotel accommodations but I stayed at a guesthouse in Batu Ferringhi suggested by the taxi driver (after seeing the location of the hostel I originally wanted---New Asia Hostel...not the most convenient location).
The taxi driver turned out to be some relative of the guesthouse owner named Bo--friendly fellow. The guesthouse was 50
ringgits without air con, 60 with, about 30-40
minutes by taxi (tourist price of 25 ringgits) from the bus station at KOMTAR (just look for the tallest, circular building on the island) in Georgetown.
Dont know the name of the guesthouse but there is a string of them along the beach next to the Holiday Inn.
Location---a few steps and you re right at the beach. No TV or hot shower but decent facilities.
The biggest dorm room I stayed in on my travels, a 22 bed dorm, but with a noce balcony and views of the city. The Golden Plaza hostel is right in the heart of it. Its only 8RM/nt £1.50. They have movies playing at night to chill out.
It's better to spend a little more money and stay in Beach not in the town , i stayed with my sister in Holliday Inn and it was real fun
The pool is great ! Specially because of the Jellyfish you can not go in to the sea . The breakfast and bar was really okay , also you can enjoy a music band twice a week there , they are really cool!
Well, if you're on a thight budget, this is the kind of hotel you'd like to check in. 15 rooms and no normal hotel service. A place to crash, shower and get on the move.
Well, the beds, the view, the everything about this place.
It is located away from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown. It is very affordable with a beach behind the hotel. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool with wet bar.
I would recommend to anyone on budget basis. Expect very simple and basic facilties though I would give a thumbs up to the staff, very helpful and very flexible. I wouldnt say my stay was fantastic but fairly comfortable. Short walking distance to Komtar Shopping Mall (town centre bus station), Campbell St (penang town night market), Kampung Keling Mosque and Cantonese Mansion.
I was astonished to found that the hotel has a roof top(see pictures). Not bad for a 2 star hotel.
MYR70 = GBP12 if booked online through Asiatravel.com
however try call the hotel direct as you may get rate as low as MYR50 per night includes breakfast
This is a cheap and friendly guesthouse located 38 steps from Batu Feringgi Beach! The prices are US$7.00 for a double fan room and a bit more for aircon. This is a friendly guesthouse located in the best location, on the best beach!
Cheap and on the Batu Feringgi Beach! Very helpful too, with bus and ferries. Also there is no curfew nor lock-outs.
Domitory room cost RM7.00 per head, normal rooms cost RM10, 12, 15, 20.
The location is LOVE lane, just next to the famous Chulian Street of backpackers.
A small guesthouse around Batu Ferringghi, built right in front of the beach. This is definitely a backpackers heaven. Room rate is as low as Rm 50 for a 4 persons room.
Clean and comfortable room with/ without attached bath. Usually with air-con or budget one with ceiling fan. Operated by the friendly Shalini's family. They will cook you american breakfast if you request.
In Penang we stayed at the Park Royal on Ferringi Beach. It was fantasic!!
The room was great, the pools, beach close by, facilities, tours, staff etc.
Location is ideal for night markets and eating. I would not recommend staying anywhere else on Batu Ferringi!
The Penang Mutiara.
The hotel is right on the beach front and has all the watersports available including parasailing. The rooms are large and well furnished with a balcony, well equipped bathroom with separate shower and loo. We managed to get a free upgrade to a junior suite so we had a terrific view across the bay, and a separate lounge area. The restaurants in the hotel were great. The Sunday lunch buffet in the Garden Terrace restaurant was the biggest buffet I have ever seen and would test the biggest appetite. There was lots of variety here, Japanese, Nonya, Chinese Thai, Satay, Italian, Indian, vegetarian and even burgers if you wanted. At around £7 each-it was great!!
Great restaurants, well equipped gym, sqush, table tennis, spa, massage, beauty salon etc.
