    This is a large resort with comfortable and clean rooms, good food and friendly service. It is situated directly at the beach of Batu Ferringhi with a large garden separating the pool from the beach, the garden is beautiful and offers enough space for everyone relaxing near the pool.
    The buffet breakfast is good as well as the food and snacks offered all day.

    The hotel pool is quite large and has a swim-up bar where you can enjoy a few nice cocktails. They have a tour counter where you can book tours around the island, a shuttle bus service, squash and tennis courts (which of course we didn't use!), sauna, jacuzzi, a children's club etc.

    We stayed at the Bay View Beach Resort...it was a great place to stay!! The rooms are huge and the pool is fantastic... :)

    They have a huge buffet breakfast with everything from noodles to french toast to fruit and cereal...it's fantastic!

    I would recommend you spend some extra money and get a pool/seaside room rather than a hillside room...the noise from the traffic can be quite loud...otherwise just take some earplugs...they worked for me. Also take a pillow if you don't like very big or very small pillows... ;)

    The pool is fantastic...the swim up bar is wonderful!! You can get drinks or snacks at the bar - either order them to eat at your table or sit right up at the bar. There is also a spa area, a diving area, a kiddies pool and a relaxation pool.

    • As a Penanger, I never stay at any hotel in Penang.However, it is my first choice when I want to treat my foreign's friends for one of the best buffet in Penang.

    this hotel has one of the best baech and very lively night activites with music and band on the seaside.

    This is a great hotel,all the comforts without being over the top.It seemed to attract families and people of the late 30 to 65's age group. Being out at Batu Ferringhi means that trips into Georgetown can take awhile on public transport.
    Would recommend staying if you felt that you wanted to be out of the hustle and bustle of Georgetown to relax after a hard day of being on your feet.Or for the lone female traveller it has the added bonus of being on the Ferringhi walk at night time so you can go out till late and enjoy the markets and food with the knowledge that your not going to be walking in a dark street with know one else around.In this regard it is a great choice and gives you more freedom in your night time activity no need to be TOO paraniod.
    Batu Ferringhi has a strip of night markets and hawker food fair every night till 9 pm which starts or finishes at the Bayview.

    Aircon ,the biggest bed I have ever seen, a great bathroom..very clean, private and safe..more of a feeling of an apartment that a hotel in some regards.
    The buffet breakfast has every food imaginable (but no bacon).
    Swimming pool ,gym and some foot reflexologists walk the grounds it is 45 rinjit for 45 mins but they will usually go a bit longer for free up to an hour..day spa etc
    Freindly staff that will be friend you and look out for you.

    The service and food is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful (especially in the bar and in the towel hut), oh the memories lol. The rooms are nice and spacious although the air-con isn't the best in the world. Room service is good.

    You can book a taxi from the hotel service, helpful when you go to the airport at the end of your stay.

    The lifts there are clear and have lights on - the reception is a wonderful sight, so bright and luxurious and welcoming.

    - great pool
    - massage place in the hotel grounds by the beach - the woman there does traditional Malay massage using nutmeg oil etc and will apply tiger balm to insect bites where necessary - cheap whole body massage for an hour
    - wonderful beach
    - delicious food - try the lime sorbet if they still serve it
    - friendly staff
    - good spa treatments available in hotel e.g.facials, body wraps etc - the women working there are happy to advise on what treatments would be suitable for you and leaflets are available
    - you can walk along Batu Ferringhi main road and spend the evening shopping at the night market that is there every evening
    - a bar in the middle of the pool that you can sit at, can also get food and drinks from it that will be brought to your sun lounger

    • We booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 4, so much did we like this place. We booked on the web and got a good price and had a hill facing superior room. The room was spacious, modern and very clean and above all quiet! It had everything we wanted and elsewhere in the hotel the buffet breakfast was huge and the pool area really impressive. Above all else, we loved the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that this place offered...there was no stuffiness or pretentiousness about this place at all and we will definitely stay here again. Very good value for money.

    • Hotel is designed like a flat with a open courtyard inside. Facilities were good and room was clean with a HUGE bed- pic to follow. Room had a musty smell but was changed to an acceptable one. Staff were friendly and co-operative. Hotel leads onto the beach which is great. Although this is rated 4 star, i would say its a 3.

    A beautifully appointed hotel that is clean, spacious, friendly and has all the amenities you could need. Friendly staff make this a great place to stay and the kids loved it.

    Just a short walk from the hustle of the village, great pool, pool bar is a must visit, views are great both ocean and hill view rooms.
