OK hotel, very handy for shopping.

The One World Hotel connects directly to 1-Utama shopping centre which is one of the biggest malls in the Kuala Lumpur area.
The hotel is located in Damansara Utama which is outside KL but close to Petaling Jaya so isn't so handy if you want to visit the city itself.
Rooms very modern and clean but i found the TV channel choice very limited.
Used the Peridot club which was rather stuffy and the staff a bit off-hand. For breakfast it's better to go to the Coffee Shop which has a much better selection to suit all tastes.
For business in that area, it's a good choice.

One World Hotel definitely tops in service!
The room I was assigned to was on the 10th floor, with a pool view but also facing the major highways, which are always full of traffic.
The room itself is spacious. Spick and span at every corner, with a comfy bed. The rooms are equipped with paid high internet access, large flat screen TV, that caters to all yor entertainment needs.
You can also view your bills on the telly, that helps to keep track of your spendings!
Service is tops at this hotel. Staff are friendly and professional, and takes effort to remember you. Concierge and porter service is quick and efficient.
The hotel is linked to an huge mall for shopping almost everything you need. Besides, the few restaurants at the hotel, it's worth to visit the hotel's coffee house for their special's of the day.
This hotel is not in the city centre and will probably take you an hour to get to KL Central, after you battle the endless traffic. It takes 1hr15mins to get to/fro KLIA and costs approximately RM120 one way.
My take? I'll definitely be back again.
Can't go wrong with the One World

You can't really go wrong with the One World. The service is impeccable. The rooms are quite luxurious and in absolutely excellent condition. The restaurants are quality and breakfast is free. If I had to complain, it would be about the expensive drinks at the bar. Then again, the low cost of the rooms more than makes up for it.
p.s. Don't be fooled by their web site saying that it's 35 minutes from the airport. It's at least an hour, and is more suitable if you're visiting Petaling Jaya itself, not Kuala Lumpur. If your destination is Kuala Lumpur, check out the J.W. Marriott.
Luxurious, convenient, great value

The OneWorld Hotel provides extremely good value, particularly for visitors from the West, for a 5-star hotel.
Friendly, attentive service throughout with great attention to detail. Good restaurants, and extremely convenient shopping with the massive 1-Utama mall right next door. Well-appointed rooms (love the rain shower!) with consistently good room service, and all the needs of business travellers catered for. Decent gym, neat pool and lovely spa top things off.
There are pros and cons with the location, in the booming 'satellite' city of KL - Petaling Jaya or PJ. It is easy to get to the airport, and there are definite advantages to not being in the centre of town - you don't get stuck in the bad traffic all the time. But of course, it isn't in the middle of town, so check your itineraries carefully.
I can happily recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure.
Loved the location

I stayed at One World for a night with my wife and toddler son. The location adjoining One Utama Shopping Centre attracted us to this hotel. As it is a 5 star hotel, the facilities in the room are very good, with in-house entertainment system (which you need to pay for) and luxurious and clean rooms. The hotel also looks very grand.
The downside is the service. Some information was not communicated to us clearly. In most hotels, the mini bar items would be left in the room. For One World, we came back in the night to discover that the mini bar items have been cleared out by housekeeping. It seemed that a deposit has to be paid for the use of the mini bar. Even the fridge is locked up. Anyway, since we don't intend to use the mini-bar, that did not pose any problems.
We were happy that it is so convenient to get to 1 Utama, with hundreds of shops to provide the much sought after retail therapy. There are also lots of restaurants to choose from. Not only that, the hotel is next to an expressway which provides convenient links to all parts of KL and beyond. The cost is a bit on the high side though.
Gorgeous hotel and great service

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Hotel is not in the centre of KL, but is in the business city a few kilometers from the centre.
That said, the hotel was lovely. It is a new hotel and the public areas and bedrooms are very smart and comfortable.
Also, we ate at the Chinese restauarant (can't remenber the name) and the food was fabulous.
Also very nice pool and gym and I had a 90 minute massage in the spa which was also great.
Not sure how easy it would be to go to the centre of KL, but if it is not that difficult, then certainly recommend staying here - the hotels was excellent value for money and very smart indeed.

I stayed here for 4 nights and found my stay vfery comfortable.
My room was clean, there are all the amenities available to make your stay like at home. Internet service in the room was good. Mini bar stocked well. Toilet accessories were good quality. The shower was fantastic.
Food - had breakfast each day in the hotel and the buffet is great. The chef was kind enough to take requests while I was there and they were so accomodating.
The pool and the gym facility were world class and it was great to use them after a long day in the office!
Shopping Centre One Utama was just a door way away and it was so convenient to go there after work as they were open until 10 pm. The food mall there was too tempting to try dinner at the hotel
There is a free shuttle daily to take you to Sunway or KLCC which makes it easy to get to places.
Would certainly stay there again. Cannot think of a single thing to improve.
No regrets

Was in KL during Chinese New year and stayed in OneWorld Hotel with my family. It was our first time and we are impressed with the good quality and service of the hotel. We had previously stayed in other 5 stars hotels in KL but was never fully satisfied with the services but for Oneworld we give it top marks.
The hotel is smart and the staff are very friendly especially the very helpful front office manager - Mr Ismail Ramli, whom assisted us throughout our stay.
We had 2 rooms interconneted and they are spacious, clean and very promptly made up. The bathroom is spacious in marble and shower cubical has a rain shower... Lovely!
Not forgetting the huge shopping complex -1 Utama, which is conveniently connected to the hotel. It is so convenient... No worries about rain.
Affordable Luxury, Biggest Breakfast and Easy Parking...

I chose this hotel on the strength of the reviews on Tripadvisor: I was not disappointed, it's great! It's a 5 Star hotel with all that entails, plus the 1 Utama shopping mall next door: and a big plus for me was the free parking directly under the hotel. Your room key gives access to the car park and they validate your ticket for exit on the last day. Did I mention the breakfast? It was just about the biggest and best selection imaginable. I would recommend booking a deal with room and breakfast included as paying for breakfast separately can be a little expensive. Finally the staff: they were efficient and polite without being stuffy at all. Well done One World - I'll be back!
