Sunway Pyramid ( Bandar Sunway )
by cs_zee
Sunway Pyramid - One of the mall's most easily recognised design is the Egyptian-inspired Pyramid with a lion "standing guard" at the entrance. The rest of the building is embellished in the monumental style, complete with pseudo-hieroglyphics decorating facades, along with numerous Pharonic statuaries.

You can take hours to see the murals/carvings on these walls at Sunway Pyramid Mall...I didn't; Too boring after a while, right ?
If you want, then you have to come here, do your shopping then look at the walls.
Also, within these walls, you can find good restaurants, locals or westerns...where you can sample the delicacies/drinks being offered there !

Resorts in Malaysia?
by xinyiproductionhouse
1. So what are the resorts present in Malaysia. thinkin of spending 3nights in Malaysia from 29May-01June. i should be going with a family of 5-12... so family resorts are best. any recommendations?
2. I though Sunway Lagoon sounds not too bad with themepark. but is there cheaper accomodations available? i found a Armada hotel at 165RM per night but is a bit of distance away... so any recommendations of cheap hotels near sunway lagoon?
3. lastly, anyone knows of cheap and reliable mini bus catering to shuttle us to and fro Msia from Singapore? thanks.

Hi...If u're coming with family and intended to spend your time going to themepark & shopping mall, i think sunway lagoon resort is the best choice..though it's a bit pricey..we have lots of resorts in malaysia, but not many in the city area..sunway lagoon resort is a resort located in the city and accessible to anywhere..lots of dining places as well...just walking distance..easy to get a taxi to travel around too..armada hotel is located in the city area as well..but quite a distance to shopping malls, restaurants, etc..you need to take a taxi...i can recommend Cititel hotel to you if you like shopping..it is located next to Mid Valley Shopping Mall...and lots of taxi too..probably you can search thru the web to check on the hotel..
other resort that i recommend is at genting highland (awana resort)...they have a huge themepark & casino..but quite far from city..arond 45mins drive...
hope this help...enjoy your trip!
Cab to PJ
by keo123
We are arriving in KL at the KL Sentral train station. Does anyone have a rough idea of the cost of a cab ride to PJ and how long it would take?
Re: Cab to PJ

Erm.. actually PJ is huge.. it depends which area you are going.. it takes 5 minutes to reach the border or PJ where u will see an arch on the Federal Highway.. It costs about not more than RM 15-RM20 to Sunway Lagoon/Pyramid..
Maybe if you could specify exactly the location?

Suggest you take the light rail from KL Sentral to PJ. Then grab a cab from there. Should be cheaper. Make sure they use the meter.

I'm going to Bandar Utama

Hi!
Cab ride from KL Sentral to Bandar Utama cost approx RM20-RM30 and depending on traffic, would take about 30-45mins to reach your destination. Its better if you purchase the taxi coupon from the arrival hall in KL Sentral rather then flaging down a cab from the main road.
You may also take the RapidKL bus from KL Sentral to Bandar Utama or the RapidKL LRT to Kelana jaya station and from there take a cab/bus to reach your destinantion in Bandar Utama.
