Great Resort close to shopping and themepark!
Breakfast here was excellent, loved the environment where you can eat next to the pool area and hear the 'waterfalls...'
The room and beds were comfortable.

Malaysian Disneyland!
During a recent business conference, I got the opportunity to go to a rather unique setting in Malaysia. Just outside Kuala Lumpur in the town of Petaling Jaya is an interesting resort. It looks like Malaysian Disneyland, full of wave pools, swimming areas, and plenty of jungle walks!
This hotel is definitely out of place, considering that all around it is a suburbian sprawl outside Kuala Lumpur, yet inside is a 5-star type hotel with all the bells and whistles. It is even attached to its own shopping mall.
The rooms were comfortable, and because I was there for a conference, I also got free internet access.

Malaysia's No.1 Romantic Place
It was like heaven.. Very romantic place. I had one of my best days here. the little villa was so cool I wished if it was my real home .. It had everything we needed.. mini kitchen.. bed room with a mini living room attached to it.. and of course the mini swimming pool which was our right view from the bed.. plus the park view in front of us.. the best part was the bathroom.. it was big and open.. we could see the trees above us and the leaves were falling in.. the bath tub was in floor and huge.. I really loved the bathroom and hated mine lol .. and also we had our personal butler Plus weather was cool with little drops of rain.. and for girls who love shopping .. there is a nice shopping mall next to it.. I really advice it to any one going to Malaysia .. even with your family .. however your kids and little brothers and sisters are not allowed to enter until they are 12 yrs old .. lol ..
Unique Quality: private pool, nice weather, tv plazma , dvd player, afternoon cocktail, other .. you have to try it yourself..

Theme Park Hotel
This hotel is pretty large by Petaling Jaya standards and has a great resort-like feel. Boasting 1,234 rooms and numerous function rooms, it is easy to get lost here.
The carved elephants and tigers at the entrance are a bit glitzy, a la Las Vegas style, but that's part of the fun and escapism concept that the developers of the hotel have tried to create.
While I have not stayed at the rooms here, I have attended a number of seminars and grand dinners at the various function and ballrooms. The ballroom is one of the biggest in Petaling Jaya (can accommodate 1,000 people) and if that is no sufficient, then there is another ballroom at the Sunway Convention Centre.
The food at Avanti Coffee House is well-known, and its weekend brunches at RM62++ are a hit with many locals. (comes with Italian fare, local delights and oysters...)
Fast Fact: This hotel was developed on the site of what was once an old disused tine mine (i.e. a huge hole in the ground). This is why much of the hotel is located below ground.
Unique Quality: Themed rooms - eg Arabian nights, Jungle, etc.
Resort style pool with some greenery.
Apart from hotel accomodation, apartments are also available for long-term stays.
Good views and easy access to Sunway Lagoon Theme Park (see my Things to Do list) and Sunway Pyramid (shopping mall complete with restaurants, large cinemas and an ice skating rink)
