duta palms resort: think again and again

the property is not user friendly for the elederly and the disabled as all the accommodation units are on the second level and needless to say there is no elevator.

think again keeping your health and that of the other occupants in mind. the room offered to us had rat droppings all over the place. so beware.

the rooms are not carpetted.

amenities in the room were none. the soap in the dispensers had dried up. the so called partial kitchen did not have piece of linen like dish cloth or dish detergent.

the tea n coffee facilities in the room!!!! resort we have always found at least arrival kit for guests. not only the non existence of this but the the water boilin ug was rust stained and we had to clean it ourselves - and how is one to do it without any detergent. luckily we had our emergency kit and used it.

the furniture!!!!!!! each of the sofa and the chairs upholstry was stained.

the whole property is in bad state of maintenance. the staircase leading to the rooms is full of dust falling off the wall - in fact the carpet is totally disfigured and discoloured with the pinkish dust.

the air conditioning was not working in the master bed room and there was a terrible offensive burning smell emitting from somewhere. the maintenance personnel came to have a look at it and accounced that it was so as the air conditioning had not been turned on for a long while. the same person came three times to have a look at the air conditioning and each time meddled with something and claimed that the airconditiong was alright. it was not alright even after three hours and eventually we were offered to change the room.

in the changed room the master bed room phone was not working - the maintenance personnel came and found that there was no line available.

while lying on the bed trying to compose myself after all the visits by the maintenance personnel i chanced to look a the dressing table and i was surprised that i could look straight at the wall - there were no drawers in the table --missing drawers.
