Guoman Golf Resort
by chiabh
Playing to 2,276m the par-35, the short course is rather challenging with its hilly and stragetically placed hazard... This course is well maintained and has many species of flora and birds that serve to advance its natural beauty. There are also numerous rambutan, durian, mango, petai, ciku, starfruit and coconut trees all over the course.
The par-3 8th is Guoman’s signature hole. Its tees are just 20 metres above sea level, with the Malacca Straits in full-view. The carry is over water to a green that has a coconut tree on the right. It is certainly one of the most scenic holes. The weekday green fee - Monday to Friday - is RM30 for nine holes and RM40 for 18, while on weekends and Public Holidays it is RM50 and RM70 respectively.
The course is only opened to resort guests and not available to the public.
Water sport activities
by mansionion
There are plenty of water based activities to do in Teluk Kemang.
Apart from swimming at the sea, beach goers can enjoy the banana boat ride or canoeing. For more adventurous stuff, you can try the jet-ski rides, water- skiing and para sailing. If you want to venture further, you can hire speedboat to go to other nearby beaches and small islands along the coastline of PD.
Unfortunately the sea here is not really suitable for snorkelling.
Blue Lagoon
by mansionion
Located at the 11th mile of PD's coastal road, the Blue Lagoon is tucked away from the main road and far from the crowds.
This beach hideaway is naturally shapped like a cresscent, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding greenery and the Straits of Melaka from here. During low tide, it is possible to stroll out on its fine sand for about 200 meters towards the receeding blue sea.
As it is a quiet and secluded spot, it is a favourite haunt for those seeking peace and calm, ideal for long walks and restful picnics. The lagoon is favored for swimming, boating, wind surfing and water skiing.
Close to its vicinity is the historical Tanjung Tuan lighthouse and the Royal Rest House of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan (the Ruler of Negeri Sembilan). During the migratory season, it is possible to watch flights of migratory sea birds wheeling along the shore here in Blue Lagoon.
Port Dickson - The Beach Town
by SayItAsItIs
"Old is Not Always Gold"
Port Dickson is probably one of Malaysia's oldest beach holiday destinations. Part of this could be due to its ease of access from the capital city Kuala Lumpur (about 2 hrs).
Unfortunately due to lack of maintainence and lack of public concern for cleanliness the beach is not as clean as it used to be.
Its a waste as what could be a great haven for tourist thirsting for a beach break has now deteriorated to a pebble filled and not very clean beach
"Beach Close Up"
Closer view of the beach sand grains and pebbles
"Beach Gear Anyone??"
If you are interested in some beach wear you can find that easily along the beach is shops such as these which will sell you everything from t-shirts, shorts, sarongs, slippers, floats, beach balls, snorkling gear, etc.
