getting PD from LCCT by bus

by pathdiscover

Is there another way to PD by bus from LCCT? Not via KL? Thank you in advance.

Re: getting PD from LCCT by bus

by din2x

There is no direct bus from LCCT to PD.

You can however, take bus from LCCT (Airport Liner) to Nilai. From Nilai, take the komuter train to Seremban. From Seremban, take bus to PD.

other option, take Taxi if you really don't want to go to KL.

Grilled Seafood & Tom Yam Soup

by yipsufen about Ulek Mayang Ikan Bakar

This malay eatery situated at Teluk Kemang beach is one of the larger ikan bakar restaurants situated in the vicinity.

Quality and taste of food are ordinary. Ample parking space. Next to the parking lot and right turn, you can try steamboat.

Pantai Saujana beach

by mansionion

Though not as popular as Teluk Kemang, Pantai Saujana beach do attract its own crowd particularly from guests of nearby hotels and resorts in its vicinity.

Located at the 3rd mile of the coastal road of PD, the beach is close to Hotel Seri Malaysia and Avillion Village Resort - currently PD's only resort built on stilt over the sea. Something interesting here is the replica of various giant size sea creatures (crab, prawn etc) that decorated stalls and kiosks along the beach.

"Your Fun In The Sun"

Port Dickson or just PD to the locals, is a popular beach situated 90 km south of Kuala Lumpur in the state of Negeri Sembilan. Port Dickson was named after Sir John Frederick Dickson, a British official, who founded and developed the town into a trading port in 1889.
Today the trading activities through the port have dwindled but the beach is a favourite weekend getaway for the city folks with many chalets, condominiums/apartments, hotels, and bungalows for rent. It is your fun in the sun retreat with many leisure activities such as water-skiing, canoing, windsurfing, and sailing along its 18km stretch of tree lined white sandy beaches that extend from Tanjung Gemuk to Tanjung Tuan. You can watch the sunset from any part of the beach in the evenings.
Getting to PD by road is a breeze. It is about an hour away from Kuala Lumpur connected by the North-South expressway (PLUS Expressway). If you are from Kuala Lumpur drive south to Sungai Besi Toll Plaza and use Exit 219 to exit the expressway at the Port Dickson Toll Plaza. After the Toll Plaza make a right turn at the traffic lights and follow the road signs. You'll be joining another expressway known as the Seremban – Port Dickson Highway at Mambau Toll Plaza and use Exit 316 at Lukut to proceed straight to Port Dickson.

"History"

Port Dickson was also known as Tanjung. Tin ore was abundant in Lukut during the 1820's, attracted the Chinese immigrants. Port Dickson and Pulau Arang were founded by Sir John Frederick in 1889. It was a highly potential area to be a harbour, which later on developed into a busy trading centre. Railways were built for easier transportation. Even though there are vast development happenin g in Port Dickson, it's beautiful beaches are still well conserved.

"Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado)"

Near Blue Lagoon is Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado) renowned for its' light house which was built by the British in 1860. On a bright and clear day, one can see Sumatra Island across the Straits of Malacca. The light house is not open to visitors, nevertheless the keeper is more than willing to bring visitors for a tour if one were to request. There are 66 flight of steps leading to the light house. To reach the peak of the light house, one has to climb 72 flight of steps.

Tanjung Tuan is also a strategic location for bird watchers to observe migratory birds such as the eagle, swallows during the months of September, October, March and April.
Location: 16km fm P. Dickson at the border of Melaka State,
about 35 mins. taxi ride from Port Dickson.

"Beach Bums"

A wonderful place to grow up. Simply love the environment. The humble and down to earth people makes pd more lovelier.
