Economical & Considered Good

For a budget or economical hotel in the town area, this hotel is commendable.
The reception area staff is reasonably courteous, and the moment I stepped into the room, it was a 'no disapponitment,' impression with the spacious feeling and quite tidy and clean for this category of hotels. Though the amenities are basic, they are suffice and you would not find anything to complain about for such a rate and location. Of course, there are areas the hotel can improve on, like the bed cover, sheets, and pillows were noticeably wore out, of which the hotel can do something about it, and see it as an investment to uphold the good image and reputation of the hotel. All in all, it is recommendable and good.

Great location, clean, friendy Hotel staff

Seremban. A small town, one stop before Kuala Lumpur, by train. The purpose of the visit was to see my uncle. The Hotel location is 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Upon arrival at the hotel, the first impression the lobby gives me was the cleanliness. The aircon was on, full blast. It sure gives a cooling effect, compared to the heat outside.

There is 24hrs security coverage (security guards) as well as complimentary parking for hotel guests. It took me only 5 minutes to check in as there were no one in queue before me. Booked myself into a standard room (Without windows) for a 3 nights stay.

No complains on the room except that the bath room door was damaged. Not much of a problem since I'm staying alone. Being someone who likes to 'ICED' the room, the aircon did perform it’s duties dilligently. The bathroom (no bathtubs) is of comfortable size. Room is equipped with a Television (think it’s 21 inch) that has Vision-4 channels as well as other local ones.

Unique Quality: There is no swimming pool. Please note that the hotel restaurant is not in operation at the time of my visit.

Hotel is about 8 minutes walk from Seremban Railway Station.

Hotel is about 2 streets from Terminal 1 shopping complex (about 4 minutes walk). Terminal 1 Shopping Complex main tennant is Giant Supermart as well as Parkson Grand. Terminal 1 houses a huge number of outlets selling mobile phones & accessories. It also houses a cineplex and the movies played are up to date.

10 minutes is all it takes to reach Seremban Parade shopping complex, which is located opposite the train station. This is the 2nd shopping complex located in Seremban town. Here, you too, can locate Parkson Grand as well as a couple of fast food joints, such as Macdonalds. About 3 minutes walk from Seremban Parade Shopping Complex leads you to the 'Lake Gardens', you can join the locals for a morning stroll or jog. A & W restaurant (24hrs) is located at the corner of Lake Gardens and it allows drive through.

Overall, i will return for my next stay due to it's ideal location and friendly hotel staff. Being a small budget hotel, staff will remember you ( your face) and will promptly hand over the room keys which you had surrendered eariler to them (without you mentioning your room numbers), before you venture out to explore the little town.

Unrated in Seremban

There are many budget hotels in Seremban but tthis is possibly the best of them.
The Carlton Star is a Chinese style hotel right in the heart of the city, 100 metres from the major shopping complex.
It's got a nice Chinese restaraunt on the ground floor which will cost you less than US$3 per head. The rooms are poky but comfortable.

Unique Quality: Nothing outstanding, it's cheap and quite nice.

You most probably want to eat lunch or dinner at Carlton Star Hotel. They serve best food in town. You should order the "salted fish pork pot" , fish and chicken or beef.

About shopping, unfortunately there is nothing much to shop here. However, you can try Terminal 1, it has a lot of stuffs to see.
