The serviced apartments that we stayed in were comfortable for a family of 4-6 people. Master bedroom comes with a double bed, the other room with two singles and the sofa outside can also be converted into a bed. There are 2 bathrooms, an almost fully equipped kitchen (two electric stoves, pots, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses~ but no microwave oven).
I liked the little additional touches: providing dishwashing liquid & kitchen towels, a broom and dustpan. Essential when you stay here for a week!
Cleaning service and change of bed linen is provided every other day.
Apartments were average on the outside but well maintained on the inside. One peeve: water pressure was low: not fun at all when showering!
A convenient store (for those daily necessities), a handicraft and t-shirt store, KFC and some restaurants were just a 2- minute walk away.
Upside: those who stay in the apartment do have full access and use of the hotel facilities. We stayed there using our time-share. I believe you can rent the apartments on a weekly basis if you belong to a time-share or vacation club.
Nice views and well-landscaped with golf driving range and beautiful golf course.
Pool is very, very big and in some parts, very deep but the water was always cold.
Two large outdoor jacuzzis, one of which was always filled with delightfully hot water.
Nice children's waterplay area, however do keep an eye out for your kids, because the water IS VERY DEEP in certain sections. There are vigilant life-guards on duty, but they can't be everywhere at the same time!

A large and low-rise resort style hotel that has been well-maintained. A favourite among golfers and convention groups. The spa is a new addition.
Staff are efficient and friendly.
Large lobby area, quite expansive when viewed from above.
Unlike at the apartments, there were no water pressure problems here and the showers worked just fine!
Good food at the Coffee House, including themed dinners (Haiwaiian Luau, BBQ, Japanese Buffet...), at reasonable prices.
As mentioned in previous tip, the pool is very big, at the deepest, it is 1.5 m. I swam laps there every evening because no one was there. Most people and their kids were crowded around the kids waterplay park.
7.6 km private beach, 800 acres of gardens and golf course. Land & Watersports : boardgames, bicycles, water-scooters, catamaran, etc. are available for hire. What makes this place so special? It's the only resort for miles and miles and you can imagine the peace on the beach. All to yourself! ☼☼☼☼☼

This is a beautiful hotel along the beach, resembling like a typical Malay village with tall coconut palms.
The traditional Malay style rooms and the individual chalets provide privacy and relaxing atmosphere.

The Sutra Beach Resort is a good resort hotel located near to Kampong Merang, which is very near to the boat jetty which takes tourists to the famous Pulau Redang island. I enjoyed my stay at the resort, as well as the nice swimming pool facing the sea and the delicious local food. There are also many tour packages which bring you to various attractions in Terengganu. This is one of many chalet and beach resort available in this beautiful island. To compare for a good stay in an island, i would say that this is a bargain of sort. As cheap as USD40 i would be able to get a chalet on my own with breakfast for 2.
It has a its own beach where you can go for beach snorkelling right in front of the hotel lobby and other amenities include a pool, a volleyball court and a restaurant that serve you fresh-cooked food.
It has a great view facing the sea and you will be able to get good amount of windy if you opt not to use your air-condition and ope up yr window!
