Payung Guesthouse: Good vibes

I stayed at Payung Guesthouse for 5 days last month and I loved it. Perfect location, close to the beach and to restaurants. Payung is located right by the river, 5 minutes walk to the beach. The place is quiet, and the manager is cool. The bungalows are ok and I really liked the vegetation with lots of trees and grass on the ground. You can rent surfboards here and book any trip or activity in town comfortably at the reception. There's an outdoor lounge that's cool to meet up with people and make new friends. I recommend Payung.

Location, close to everything, walk distance.
Vibes, chill out rock out relax

Nice, quiet surrounding.

Nice quiet resting place, do not expect room service, equiped with air-cond & hot shower.
Lookout for falling coconut branches, one almost hit my son

Hey, you can fish right from your own chalet's balcony

Tanjong Inn: Carefree Cherating

Most enjoyable short break. Affordable chalets with air cond and hot shower. They also have the cheaper huts with fan for the long term back packers. Short walking distance to the beach. Natural environment. Bring your own mosquito repellant.
Visit my blog to to view the pictures http://timoot.blogspot.com/ We spent 3 days 2 nights at the Cherating. Outdoor activities facilites in the neighbouring area.

Quiet place with plenty of privacy. The most impressive is that the chalets we stayed are surrounded by a fishing pond.

Rhana Pippin Resort: Chalet by the sea

Most amazing chalets they offer, just facing the sea and with Air-Cond, Shower(hot & cold), TV, Queen size bed and a little fridge.

All the above for the price of RM90.00!

Not only that, it was amazingly quiet and the surrounding area is fenced up so no outsiders come by.

Landscaping is also beautiful but most important was the view!

As mentioned above...

I don't remember! But I'll find out and add it...: Great A-Frames

This is the first hostel you come across when you walk from the bus stop into Cherating. They have a main house with internet access, a common room with hammocks and a television with movies to watch. They also have a kitchen for you to use for meals.

The best part of this hostel is that the rooms are actually a-frame huts. They are set on sand with a tiny little pond nearby. They aren't as nice looking as Matahari's next door, but the guys running the place are so nice and helpful that it's worth staying here. Plus it feels a little more authentic than the buildings at Matahari's.
